Guns don’t kill people, Obama’s health plan kills people.

Leftist plant?

That's my thought on this. He was surrounded by leftist SEIU thugs, and that rifle looks pretty shiny and new. If we start seeing more anti-gun stuff across the MSM spectrum, esp. about "assault weapons," bet your last dollar that guy is/was a plant to bring attention to the fact that firearms can be brought so close to the President. The fact this guy was openly carrying indicates, to me anyway, that he had no designs on assassination. He was simply exercising a right guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.

To boot, the pictures on another post show his (presumably) weak side carry holster devoid of a thumb break, which, in a large crowd, should be a minimal safety consideration. And, unless he's ambidextrous or really good with his weak hand, the pistol is in a position for left-handed firing as opposed to positioning for cross-draw, as I would have it.

Carrying a firearm to an event does not make one a firearm expert. No one knows if he was just given the guns to carry by someone bent on spinning a story. Seeing the man handle, fire, maintain, field strip, etc. would make his case more convincing, but I've been around too many "thugs" to know that most firearm newbies are clueless about proper maintenance and disassembly.

Maybe he was insecure because of the implied threat of the angry, organized NAZI mob and thought he needed his arms for his PUBLIC SAFETY??

Why send a black guy then instead of your average Tim McVeigh look-alike. If conservatives protestors start bringing their guns along I wouldn’t be too surprised if a few libs (the ones that don’t pee themselves at the sight of a firearm anyway) doing the same.

While I am an avid shooter/hunter, and believe completely in our right to bear arms, I honestly cannot understand anyone that open carries. It’s just a huge attention getter, good and bad. All it does is draw attention to one’s self. If people want to be armed, they should obtain a concealed weapon permit. It makes much more sense. What situation really warrants needing to open-carry in a city or crowded gathering of people? It’s a great law to have, but seems imprudent to me, to exercise.

I think that, when Obama is no longer useful to his creators, that they may very well arrange his removal.

Of course, a scenario that would lead to gun confiscation would be highly preferred by his inventors.

That guy in NH who combined open carry with a sign about watering the tree of Liberty was using very bad judgement, IMO. He was making the Secret Service's job a lot harder.

And, in my view, we should want them to do a very good job, because the downside of a Reichstag fire with Obama playing the role of the Reichstag is very, very bad.

As I said, the only thing that open-carry really accomplishes, is to draw attention and get people all riled-up.

My good friend called me from Arizona last night. He said hundreds of pro-Obama people had been bussed in from Los Angeles which is six hours away. Some were paid $10 an hour; others came because they were told they might get the chance to meet Obama. He said the people were so pathetic that he almost felt sorry for them.

"I'm exercising my rights as an American in Arizona," the man, who refused to give his name, told KNXV.

If this was a Conservative or someone from the right, no doubt theyr would have their name by now!

So, CNN, it’s legal, you just said it, so what the hell are you complaining about? Are you trying to imply that evil right-wing protesters are violent?
Obviously, CNN, you don’t have the courage to say that in clear language, so you imply, hoping that your mind-challenged viewers will get the point that you are trying to get across.

Well in a riot/Katrina type situation open carry definitely makes sense and it sends a message when you are in a bad part of town but I agree that generally displaying your gun to be a show off is asking for trouble.

I’m sorry, that’s dumb. Stuff like that accomplishes nothing but getting new gun laws passed.

I think you may be wrong on this. People are now seeing the LEGAL carrying of weapons, with no dire effects.

We got 'em on the run.

Maybe Conservatives demonstrators should carry weapons at the demonstrations,
