That’s because most people now have been whipped up into wimpy tubs of goo.
If the government turns, let the insurgency begin on wearing it down.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.

Surely your public liberal education trimmed your objectivity of history.
Better go back and study a little more and not take the low road and assume what other liberals have told you.....

Sounds like you have a son that any father would be proud of.

Yes. Very proud.
He’s a great son. I hope the best for his future. And his family.
Thank you!

C’est dommage. You should be able to pick it up again, having 6 years of study. I had two and two with the last year in college a reading course, Camus and Sartre etc.
The resistance was strong in the Vercours area and are proud of the men and women who did wreak havoc on the Krauts. There are museums in Grenoble and the Vercours valley.
The German reprisals were really harsh, killing whole villages in some instances.

Well, Hitler was very friendly with the Muzzys....Mo Ham Med’s very first expedition wiped out an entire Jewish village as he moved onward and downward....and his followers ravaged and killed for the next 1300 Years !
