Poor Paddington Bear, I really felt sorry for him.

At least he kept it together after his snowman. Good for him.

Didn't Tiger win last week too?

That means he's going for a Hat Trick next week?

I’ll have to watch the replay tonight when I get home. Paddy’s thinking that with Tiger having a birdie in his back pocket, he needed to do something very special to save par and stay 1 back with 2 holes left. Without seeing it, I’m guessing he caught it fat and to the lake it went......

I’m also guessing the post round presser was handled with class and respect and he answered every single question about 16. This is why we love this game so.....

Tiger the prohibitive favorite next week? YEP......

I’m watching the replay now.....So on 16, Padraig was -11 and Tiger 1 back. And I just heard that they were being put on the clock for slow play when they got to 16 tee. Did that affect him? Absolutely it did, especially the 2nd shot.
Tiger even hit his 2nd shot out of turn to help speed things up.

The way it played out, Padraig got hosed. First, they finished in just over 4 hours so that shouldn’t have been a big issue. Second, there was no one in front or behind them and in this case, exceptions shold be made.

Now I’m sitting here watching Golf Central and getting even more pissed... First, Tiger has Padraig’s back basically saying that being put on the clock affected the outcome of the tourney. Padraig, to his credit didn’t try to use it as an excuse while giving credit to Tiger. Even Slugger White said that the issue was to try to finish before 6:00 and the offical who made the decision was listening to orders....

That needed to be handled differently and we’ll see what happens next time.....

Just watched Golf Central. I didn’t realize they were on the clock either. I only heard part of it.

Something tells me this will get more discussion on tonight’s show. I’ll be there.

Hi C-GOP. Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on the issue of putting Tiger's group on the clock. There are standards in place (for all players) that designate when a group is out of position. At that point, they go on the clock. The rules need to be applied to all equally.

For the entire back nine yesterday, Rob and I kept wondering how far behind their group was. I think Stewart and Angel finished 18 just as Tiger and Paddy were teeing off on 16. Yes, there was one group in between them, but that is still quite a gap.

It shouldn't matter who is in a group or how they stand in the tournament. It happened to Stewart on the 17th hole of the US Open at Congressional. He was playing in the final group. At the time, we were amazed that they would do that to the final pairing. Now we realize that the rules are for the player in first place just as much as they are for the player in last place.

I give credit to the rules officials. Would have been easy to look the other way because it was Tiger!

From the standpoint that the rules have to be applied to equally, your analysis is perfect and provides no arguement whatsoever. Rules are rules and every player is responsible to know that it’s there to be put into place.....I found it most interesting that Slugger White left some gray area for discussion with his comments.

Where I think there is room for interpretation is the huge gallery following them, plus having to have TV and other media probably 2 or 3 times more in numbers than any other twosome had to deal with having to be settled into place before shots are made. Unfortunately I didn’t watch live, only watching the replay late last night so I have no idea how far past 6:00 it was when they finished, but from the TV being on in my store when I got back to work on the CBS station, our local news started on time at 6:30 so maybe they went a few minutes over but I don’t really know.......

To me as good as that match was going and to have it go that badly for Padraig all at once was hard to stomach. And yep, Tiger was on the clock too and he came up with big shots to put it away.

In the end, rules are rules and they have to be applied equally.

Anothet fine week for Stewart. wish he didn’t have the bump in the road coming home to not finish at -8, but still impressive cause that course played tough all weekend...

Enjoy the week at the PGA and give Stewart our best from all us FREeper golf peeps!!!!

Your horseradish salad recipe is still being served to my family and friends twice a year-once during the holidays and once during a summer buffet...lol...you would be surprised at the comments I get and the times I have shared the recipe.

Oh! I can’t believe you remembered where you got the recipe.
It’s a keeper...once you can entice people to try it!

I may just go home and make some tonight. Would be good with salmon, don’t ya think?

I have only served it with roast beef, tri tip or prime rib. Let me know how it is with salmon. I am having a salmon dinner over Labor Day for family and friends.

I think you also gave me another fav recipe...for pork chops and sauerkraut in the crockpot? Um, yummy.

I use country ribs most of the time now. Ribs, sauerkraut, sliced apples, and brown sugar.

Didn’t do the salmon last night. Will probably wait til the weekend. But you MUST try it with turkey dinner. That’s the best.
