A lot of PowerPoints would probably slow it down, that I don't know. I've never noticed a slowdown on my oldest (9 yo) computer due to mail.
Too many programs, too many temp files, low ram, that slows my computer. Speed Up My PC helps best and with it I can free up RAM (speed) whenever I want it.
Hey there, jaycee. Got an e-mail today and wondered if this guy might be a neighbor?!?
The Fence
Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House
One is from Chicago , another is from Tennessee , and the third is from Minnesota .
All three go with a White House official to examine the fence. The
Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring
then works some figures with a pencil. “Well,” he says, “I figure the job
will runabout $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me.”
The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then
says, “I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me.”
The Chicago contractor doesn’t measure or figure, but leans over to the
White House official and whispers, “$2,700.”
The official, incredulous, says, “You didn’t even measure like the other
guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?”
The Chicago contractor whispers back, “$1000 for me, $1000 for you,
and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence.”
“Done!” replies the government official.
And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work.
...and I wear that title proudly. :)
Busy, busy, busy around here. A move to a new house is on the horizon and we're sorting though stuff, deciding what to keep and what to send to the Union Gospel Mission. Lotta stuff accumulated since our last move 18 years ago.
Also on the horizon is another back surgery - maybe I'll get a discount and door prize for #4.
Take care, y'all. Have a Blessed Lord's Day.
Three of us here KSU grads.. I did my BS in Education/Biology/HPE in 1968
LOL, Dave! Not my immediate neighbor but many are getting bamboozled in “Obama’s 57 states”....remember him saying he had visited all 57 states? Hey, there’s another word I could have used for bamboozled but feared it was not lady-like this morning...LOL!
Guess you may have read on the thread that O. visited my city last week and spoke at a Kroger’s store, with a stacked audience asking ‘Goldilocks questions?’ Protesters stood in torrential rain with their signs! Only the chosen audience could get in to hear him! FREEDOM???

When I signed up for a popular Internet social network, I was shocked to be greeted with the words, You have no friends. Although I knew it was untrue, I still felt sad for a moment. The idea that anyone, even an impersonal Web site, would call me friendless was upsetting. Friends are essential for our emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Friends listen to our heartaches without blaming us for having problems. They defend us when were under attack. They are happy when we succeed and sad when we fail. They give us wise counsel to keep us from making foolish choices. They even risk making us angry for the sake of making us right. My friends have done all of this and more for me.
Perhaps the best-known friendship in the Bible is that of Jonathan and David. Jonathan was heir to the throne of his father Saul. But he knew that the Lord had chosen David for that role, so he risked his own life to save his friend (1 Sam. 20).
As the Bible shows us, we need to choose friends carefully (Prov. 12:26). The very best friends are those who are friends with God and who strengthen our relationship with Him (1 Sam. 23:16).
Humidity is 94%..LOL and 75 here..I see the sun peeking through..
