Good point about expiation for the original deal, and the plot being rife with allegory and symbolism.
I don’t like Russell Davies but he’s certainly a good writer.
I’m looking forward to Doctor Who’s dust planet tonight!
See ya’,

I do not consider myself a prude by any means, but unless I drift into the adult content satellite channels, I don't expect homosexual content in my movies or weekly entertainment.
I forced myself to watch "this miniseries," not realizing that it is the current "season" of Torchwood, which suggests that it is struggling to survive.
I loved the first episode ever of this series, and looked forward to another blockbuster long-running series. I was wrong, and dropped the show after I realized that the gratuitous homosexual scenes were deliberate and recurring. The triumph of misguided activism over otherwise excellent and imaginative acting, stories, dialog and production.
I guess I was not alone in that assesment.
I suppose most of the potential audience which bailed early on were similarly unaware that "execrable poufter Russel Davies" was behind the attempt. I never heard of him, and hope never to hear his name again.
Too bad; this miniseries was excellent, and I hope to save it to DVD minus the "queer" bits. The story was thought-provoking, intense, engaging and a classic treatment of the oldest philosophical conundrums of the human condition.
