Patrick Henry spoke words like these as an elected representative of his commonwealth, he did not ask the Virginia militia to arrest the king.

Compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges and cut the hyperbole.

I’d be as happy as hell if our elected representatives got on the birther case.

All I have objected to is the premise of this thread that the Joint Chiefs of Staff take matters into their own hands.

That would be both wrong and stupid. Comparing it to what the Founders did is wronger.

“Our Constitution has already been trashed. We may not get an opportunity to vote our way out of this mess, or use the rule of law to fix what has become a broken.”

It was trashed over a long period of time by elected representatives, beginning with the 17th Amendment.

And just how is sending in the Joint Chiefs of Staff to arrest the President going to untrash it?

Soviet Russia was not a “lawless” society, nor was any other marxist regime.

heh... Even the folks who were there in 1776 and 1789 knew that their “experiment” would not last, and they were ok with that... AS long as they could count on future generations to do what it took to keep freedom and liberty alive. I believe they would have been truly disappointed by people that chose to live under tyranny in the name of what they created. How friggen warped is that?

A break from the marxists and the people who vote them into office does not have to be “lawless” and it is not the “death” of the “experiment”... In fact, it would be the continuation of the “experiment” and the rebirth of the dream of 1776...

The founders committed TREASON against their country they were a colony of.

They are great men not because of their “patriotism” but because they brought real freedom and liberty to this people of this nation. What was passed from them to future generations was dropped, kicked and beaten down into the mud of history by lesser men.

And now.. here we are... just another marxist nation...

You say it isnt so? Its not just the marxists who are voted into office, Its the people who VOTE the marxists into office. Even if we get rid of the current crop, they will just be replaced.

What your so proud of and want to defend with your life is a shell... The founders had something of precious value, freedom and liberty. So they tried to build a defense mechanism around the valuable gift to protect it and insure its passage through time and generations... Now... The thing of value is gone, evaporated into a cloud of political tyranny, all that is left is the defense mechanism that was put in place to safeguard the thing of real value. People like you worship that empty shell like IT was the gift and the thing of value. Like it was the originator of freedom and liberty...

Whats sad is that you do not even have the slightest idea of what im talking about. You wont even be able to begin to grasp the concept. You are one of those lesser men who let the real thing of value slip away while they kneeled before the empty shell.

BTW.. I dont think the “honduras” option would work here... There are just to many idiots in this nation who would just replace him with another just like him. The ONLY real way to begin to retake our freedom is to separate ourselves from the influence of the marxists and the people who vote for them.

That assumes the devil lets the case go to court now doesn’t it?

No cigar.

What I wrote assumes something very different. It assumes that a person you suspect without evidence of being evil and unjust asks for due process of law. Under you reasoning (William Roper Jr.’s reasoning) he should be denied benefit of law because you merely suspect him. Under More’s reasoning, the Devil himself deserves benefit of law and cannot be arrested until sufficient evidence of a crime obtains and proper authority mandates the arrest. The JSC is not the proper authority in this instance and your perceived inaction by the proper authorities (in fact they have been active but their rulings have not been to your liking) does not give you authority to declare martial law.

You suspect Obama is ineligible to be president. You want the Joint Chiefs to arrest him on suspicion, on his refusal to produce proof of eligibility. If a court ordered him to produce proof I agree—he would then have had his due process and if he refused to produce evidence, deserves legal penalties.

But that’s not the situation at present. He’s smart enough to know that a court could compel him to produce evidence. Or Congress could act as that court. So he cleverly had the DoD withdraw the orders to Major Cook, blocking that particular effort to get a court to order him.

Sure, it’s frustrating to see him counter our moves with his own chess moves.

But the solution is not to have the military, without court order, arrest him. It’s just plain wrong.

What is the last line of defense for the Constitution?

Surely you must know this, who are the last defenders of that document? The Executive branch? The Congress, The Judiciary, the military, the media?

Who is the last line of defense for the constitution?

>If it does turn out he’s not constitutionally eligible, they’re ALL open to international prosecution for war crimes.<

Only if they KNEW or had evidence to the fact.
That the congress has passed him in his “eligibility test” makes them exempt from this.

Now if they start making a fuss and show some questioning in that, then after they show some reluctance, then the argument can be made that they thought he was not truly in a position to give orders, but they followed them anyway.

It’s a catch 22

I just love a good meltdown.

Tell me how justice is served and the constitution is protected if at every turn Obama is seeking not to prove his eligibility but to prevent the discovery of those documents that should prove his eligibility?

When the congress, the judiciary, the Justice department, and all other parts of the government are deliberately preventing any sort of examination of the man’s credentials for the office, where is the justice and the defence of the constitution?

We are about to become another Venezuela or Nicaragua, where a strong man and his supporters can run roucghshod over the constitution because no one in their government will acted to stop him.

And don’t tell me it won’t happen here because it is already happening here, some of the worst legislation since the founding of this country has been signed into law because there are not stops on this government.

I hate that they have to serve with this maggot’s duplicity hanging over their heads.

It’s not like they don’t have enough problems already.

Is there *any* facet of “the American way” that he is not endangering or outright destroying?
