MM,

I have watched these videos many times, with a friend, and we both have been brought to tears with the emotion they invoke.

The Who, definitely, was the band that gave a measure of release to a lot of people that night-far above the other performers.

For proof, one only only needs to look at the faces of the audience during The Who's performance!

Ever listen to any System of a Down? Total, lefty a-holes, but their music is ferocious and creative. Also check out the album Aenima, by Tool. It was made in the late 90’s and totally kicks royal ass — the drumming on it is brutal and the guitar riffs are outstanding. Lyrics are pretty in your face, too. Unfortunately, Tool’s other albums are, IMO, lame. On the Death Metal side, check out a band named Pantera. Don’t know if they’re still around. Several years ago one of their members was shot and killed by some nut job while they were performing and that was the last I heard about them.

I never said that they were hippies, just that if I were like a Dead-head, I’d have to dress/act like one.

Oh yes! I’ve seen all of those before!

I’m pretty sure that Pete smashed his guitar twice during the ‘02 tour, and neither was at any of their FOUR shows at MSG. :(

I don’t need to tell you, but they totally owned the Garden that night.

Not for more than a minute or two. I tend to avoid the blatantly leftist a-hole artists, and they’re a bit much for me anyway. Not into death metal either. Sorry.

Ironically, Ringo’s son Zak played drums on that show...
