The most overrated sex symbol in history. Kim Novak, Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner—all outshone her. But MM did excel at playing MM.

What a load of crap. She was wearing NO BRA in the white, Travilla, halter dress for "Seven Year Itch". Or in "Some Like it Hot". Or in "Bus Stop", "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", or in practically any other of her movies.
I hate these completely made-up "discoveries" more than just about anything.

When I think of Marilyn Monroe, the word " bimbo" comes to mind. [And, sure enough, definition #3 at dictionary.com is an attractive but stupid young woman, esp. one with loose morals.
