I have an understanding, I’m trying to figure out what and why people believe as they do. Thanks

No matter how hot she is, there is at least one guy out there who is sick of her crap.

I really only need about 10 minutes, including the smoke after.

I disagree. I love my wife and I’ve been faithful to her for twenty years. She is loving, affectionate, and still seething hot. She’s a good mom, a hard worker, a good partner.

She’s also one in a freaking million.

If I had it do do over again (God forbid!) there’s no way in Hell I’d marry an American woman. American women by and large have been so propagandized and programmed by media and higher education that they are no longer women — they are Men With Breasts. Sure, there are exceptions like Mrs. Chan, but in my experience most American women are hateful bitches with the morality of a chihuahua.

I thank God every day for sending me the good wife that He did. Otherwise it’d be an Asian woman, or nothing for me.

Say we have 2 people, one has faith, reasoning and revelation, but is of a different faith than another that has faith, reasoning and revelation, and their knowledges of God differ, which one is correct?

Gotta go, but I will respond when I get back.

When two people of different faiths believe what God wants from them, which one is correct?

Please remember this isn't an attack on men or their morality. Some women are unfaithful too, and I heard the same things from them. I know there are occasions when a marriage was ghastly and a husband stayed with his wife to prevent the kids from being abused or taken away from him, and then had an affair, but this wasn't what we routinely heard.

Men always get the most blame for infidelity, but I read a while back of a census-type of survey (I think it was a medical survey, can't remember) that was done around the 1930s in the US, where the survey takers discovered that about 25-30% of the children were not related to the "father", and this was merely using observable characteristics (no DNA testing obviously). Since Americans were much more socially conservative back then, imagine what the stats would be now. But then again, people divorce at the drop of a hat now, so maybe there isn't the same motivation to cheat rather than break up.

"...It seems a shame that we have to go through all this pain and suffering, when He could have just designed us differently..."

I think I took the point of that statement differently than you intended me to...

Not that I would be able to give you any answers anyway...:)

God’s existence can be known by reason alone, and His attributes (perfection, love, etc.) are engraved upon the human heart (the Natural Law). This much knowledge of God is available to all men.

A deeper knowledge of God is available through revelation. God came to Earth in the Person of Jesus Christ. He was crucified, died, buried, and rose again. He ascended into Heaven, leaving behind a corps of believers headed by Saint Peter. It is through these apostles (the Church) and the truth they have revealed to us (i.e. Scripture and Tradition) that we can know Jesus Christ, and therefore God, personally.

Those who have not heard of Jesus Christ, or who have been raised in some other faith, can still be saved by Him, although no one is sure exactly how this happens. (”My sheep hear my voice: and I know them, and they follow me” = John 10:27) We do know, however, that God is perfect, and, since He is perfect, He cannot fail to give every human being exactly what he or she deserves as a result of their choices here on Earth. “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Genesis 18:25

I’m glad this thread got somewhat diverted by theology; otherwise it was threatening to turn into one of those “All American women are bitches/No we’re not” threads that get 1000 posts.

So upon seeing you write that “American women are hateful bitches”, I have to inject the note of reason I usually post in these discussions:

There are probably equal numbers of bad, spoiled, selfish, evil men and women. Remember that while feminism has encouraged the low and vile aspects of the female personality, it has also encouraged the low and vile aspects of the male personality. A culture of selfishness and self-indulgence has brought out the worst in both genders. We all know bad men and bad women.

If you truly believe that most American woman are hateful bitches, that means you’re meeting a certain type of woman, which means you’re going to the wrong church.

You are asking me to cliff note my knowlege and conclusions from 2000+ years of theological thought. As your questions have been answered, you have have asked more questions.

Nothing wrong with that, and as answering questions yields more questions, its time for you to go explore yourself.

Enjoy the journey.

Don’t you have any original thoughts on the subject?

Yes, the answers I receive, almost always lead to more questions.
