I believe it was legislation known as the Church amendment in 1973 which effectively tied President Ford’s hands and stopped his ability to send any military aid to South Vietnam as they were being overrun by the North. I believe I remember president Ford saying “our long national nightmare is over”.
I alternated between visceral anger and great sadness when this happened.
It was indeed a low point in our history.
” Repeat 6 zillion times, while looking constipated.
That’s entertainment! “
That’s my impression of Springsteen as well. AC/DC perfected the repeating lyric.
As for business, I venture to say that entrepreneurs are not necessarily inclined to adopt the party line of these elites. But, as a rule, you make a good point.
He started his sold out tour beginning of April, plaid tens of shows since this date...and did not sing Born In The USA once?
During his life he wrote hundreds of songs, during one show he can sing 25 of them...I don’t really see what’s the problem here.
The comments at the end of the article you posted said it all:
Here are some examples:
“I have seen bruce many times before in my 26 years and this was one of the best performances i have ever witnessed.”
“springsteen was the greatest thing in the world on that stage, the ones that never watched him must have serious taste issues”
“the people who didnt like the boss seemed to have made their minds up before they even went to see him”
“was in the front of this gig, best gig of my life.”
“Anyone that knows anything about Bruce Springsteen would know that Born in the USA rarely makes an appearance these days”
“If you go to a Springsteen show expecting to hear a certain song you probably will be disappointed. Me, I’d rather hear Kitty’s Back or Rosalita than BITUSA”
