Agree.
This is the problem with 24 hour sports coverage. Its hard enough to fill a 24 hour news cycle with general news. But a sports cycle that long. This is about the time of year they start asking star what they dreamed about last night just to fill time.
They should all go away.
Favre fan, eh? Must be tough.
LOL.. Not hardly.. been a Chicago Bears fan my entire life.
I just know the facts surrounding the situation while blowhards like you just spout nonsense off.
The Green Bay Packers and Ted Thompson started this mess by completely disrespecting and then spitting on a Hall of Fame QB that pulled them out of the NFC Central(North) dumpster that they were stuck in since Bart Starr left.
ESPN has been fanning these ridiculous flames for a year now.
Most of the ignornant a-holes like you spouting off about Favre are totally oblivious to the events surrounding this situation.
No Brett created this circus by retiring twice and unretiring at least once and maybe a second time. Had Brett either stayed retired or not retired there’d be no circus.
guess not
“The Green Bay Packers and the media have created this entire circus, not Brett.”
You forgot the /sarcasm
Wow you are a fool.
Packers threw down the gauntlet 2 months after a 18-game season and demanded an answer from their Hall of Fame QB who was tired from grueling season.
If Green Bay didn’t want Favre they shouldn’t have signed him a contract that would let him play there til he was 40 especially with Rodgers in the wings.
The “retirement” from the Jets was concillatory on both ends. Brett didn’t want to be there (after the Packers screwed him) and the Jets didn’t have the team to be a Super Bowl contender this year and rightfully wanted youth.
Please, learn the facts before you spout your mouth.
Knock it off.
Can the insults.
Let’s look at the real history here. At the end of the 2006 season Favre started the whole will he or won’t retirement drama (remember the weepfest at the end of the game with Chicago). but 6 weeks later he decides he’s going to come back.
Then a year and change (because they actually make the playoffs) ater it starts all over again, will he/ won’t he, blah blah blah. Meanwhile Packers management has a team to run, they’ve got a first round draft pick QB with one more year left on his rookie contract who’s barely played any time, the draft is coming, free agent time is ticking down, they need to know if they’re going to be playing with or without Favre, not just for the QB situation but for the salary cap. And yes they throw down the gauntlet, because they have a billion dollar company to run and he’s clogging the works, he had 2 months, it was time to drop turds or get off the pot.
So then Favre retires. Great now the Pack has their decision and can proceed to run their company. Oh but 4 months later he doesn’t want to retire. And that’s when this whole thing starts getting really stupid and ALL of the stupidity is Brett’s fault.
It’s not that the Pack didn’t want him, they needed a decision. Did they have his salary tied up or free to use, should they start training Rodgers likes he’s going to be the starter or not, every minute he hemmed and hawed was another minute of the free agency negotiation period gone with them not knowing how much money they had to work with.
I know the facts, given you’re need to use insults apparently you aren’t comfortable with the facts. The facts are that Favre acted like a primadonna long enough to make Green Bay desperate for a decision, ANY decision. Yes they threw down the gauntlet, what were they supposed to do? Wait until July (when he finally decided to come back)?! Go through all of the free agency period and the draft not knowing if they had his salary to work with or not?! Come on. Yes he’s a Hall of Famer, but he’s not a god.
Jimmy Johnson, in first paragraph of page 3 talks about nightmares he had while coaching. I'll bet you thought you were exaggerating.
Sucks to be you, when the only response you can think of is name calling and insults.
Brett was the one crying like a baby during the press conference. If your gonna retire, retire. He was horrible in the last game against the Dolphins.Enough is enough
That would be cool,I live on a golf course.
