I took my BBD to the dog park this week. For the first time ever, every dog at the park was a BBD. Granted there were only five, but it truly was unique seeing all the BBDs playing together.

Dogs rule.
This certainly supports the ‘research’ that dogs have a sense of morality and know right from wrong.

My BBD is asleep at my feet. I rescued him off the street after seeing several cars dodging him. I doubt he has the sense, bless his heart (y’all Southerners know what that means), to pay it forward but he pays us back with the sweetest of dispositions and loads of love.
Oh, he woke up and has his usual sad aren’t I cute pet me look going.

A story from back in Jan. I often wonder if they have caught him.
Joe, not only do dogs possess such qualities, I had a pet goose for 15 years. I didn’t choose him, he chose me. I had a 40 some odd geese and ducks delivered to my pond and this guy sized me up and decided we were to be best friends.
I can’t begin to tell you what a grand guy he was. He did all the outdoor chores with me, like feeding the horses. I could call him off the lake and he would unfailingly come. He sized up visitors and protected me from those he didn’t trust. He loved to sit and relax with me on the deck. My heart still aches for him, he was taken (probably by a coyote) August 5, 1997. I do think he was a gift from God. His name was Sylvester.
Tha is too funny. We raised German Short haired pointers as a kid. They were not allowed on the furniture. So they would do as the picture and prop a cheek up on the couch. THEY KNOW! If you have the love of a good dog you are a blessed person
