My Pepper was like that and he never grew out of it; toward the end during those final two weeks that the cancer ravaged him and he had to be evacuated manually he insisted I throw the ball; his last day, we played for an hour and when it was time he wagged his fouled tail and nodded his head as he lay on the Vet’s platform as though to launch into that place where the balls always fly and the ground comes up to meet your paws like a soft, white pillow.

Every now and then I’ll catch myself looking up for one last glimpse of his magnificently arched back and eager, grinning mouth.

I have two Cockers. One is crazy about retrieving the other just winds down after a few minutes.

Weird thing is he loves to lay on concrete in the sun and sometimes won't come in. He is such a dork I have to go and get him and make him heel. He ain't to swift but he is the biggest lover and baby on the planet.

I used to travel to shows with a friend who had parti-cockers. They were nuts but a lot of fun. One of them would howl with me, it was a hoot!

Where the hell do you guys get off calling a dog a police officer. The dog is nothing more than a trained animal. He has no sense of right or wrong, only to execute commands given to him.What do you guys smoke to come up with that type of analogy??
