Sounds like Al needs the work. As a fan, I think this is a lousy role for him.

Al Pacino to Play Dr. Kevorkian (in HBO film) Is there a Stupid-Idea-for-a-Movie award?
To: joejm65
I dunno.
He did a great job playing the devil.
Same thing, only different.

Funny how that filthy psychopath was released from prison a couple of years ago because he was at death's doorstep. And yet he's still alive.I know he would certainly never try to scam prison authorities.

You must be a guy.
Old or not, Al is still hot....:))
With his warped, over-the-top method of acting, he *may* wind up making Dr Death appear more like Dr Demented.

If he was at death’s door, why didn’t he ask a guard to open it and give him a shove on through?
Woulda been more “merciful”.

Almost what I was thinking. One meaningful shift of the eyes and Kevorkian could be toast.
To: lewisglad
Pacino plays a lot of nuts and they want Kavorkian to look, like a nut.

Yep...and Al’s as “out there” as it gets and it’d be hard to find “crazier” eyes.
[unless you tapped Martin Sheen for the part]
This could end up being an hilarious “unintended consequences” film.

(yes, as a matter of fact, i DID only read the excerpt)

Godfather three (pretty lousy movie) with the gray hair and ashen complexion he looked like Kevorkian.
Al was very good in Scarface, first two Godfathers, Carlito was okay and Donnie Brasco was pretty good too. Dog Day and Serpico were also pretty good.
I give Al credit in that I rarely have heard him talk politics.

Wanting an Emmy makes sense. Playing Kevorkian is the perfect lib-popular role that will certainly garner him a few awards. I just wish he wouldn’t go this route. This kind of role makes sense for an activist like Sean Penn. Anyway, JMO.

Funny how that filthy psychopath was released from prison a couple of years ago because he was at death's doorstep. And yet he's still alive. And he's been traveling around the country trying to drum up support for his evil agenda.
It seems to me that he's healthy enough to go back to prison and finish the remainder of his sentence.
