Great tip. Just scored 500 rounds from a local guy at a decent price. Thanks.

Likely, but from a business point of view I understand the problem. Past putting on a second shift and working weekends the only solution is to expand infrastructure. That is to build additional capacity in the form of manufacturing lines.

Now I'm looking down the road as a business person. If the dems lose power, the demand goes back to normal (or less because of the stockpiles out there). If the dems stay in power and expand restrictive gun / ammo laws the ammunition sales are impossible.

Either way I stand to lose my investment in greater ammo producing capacity... so what to do?

Bro...don’t run around going crazy. I just check Pro Bass Shop, Cabelas, and Gander Mountain online and order whats available. Usually with Pro Bass a back order is filled in 2-3 weeks, and Cabela’s is about the same. Just have to be willing to wait. Also try gun trader on line. Many guys are selling off excess ammo (at a profit of course).

Good Luck and remember Gun Control takes practice!

LOL, "Bro...don’t run around going crazy." I'm a 50+ year old with several dozens of firearms and many tens of thousands of rounds... I've been stocking up for a while...

It depends on what components you make. If a company makes everything from primers up it has to cost, but overtime and weekends have to cost a lot too.

Central Arkansas Freepers who need .22LR ammo:

Wal-Mart in Benton had over 170 boxes of 550 rounds this morning.

Sporting Goods Manager said that they recently got in a 2,000-box shipment from Remington in Lonoke last week (all .22LR), and he had 174 boxes left this morning.

6-box limit!

Steel cased ammo like wolf is ok in small quantities, but can be a problem if you shoot it a lot.

Think steel on steel-can cause wear on the chamber.

Brass does not cause that wear.

While Wolf is loaded in specs the chamber from lots of firing can cause problems down the line. Nothing to panic about but something to think of

Primers have been the worst... I bought a Dillion XL650 press and can’t find large or small rifle primers.

No primers, no ammo. There really are not a lot of manufacturers of primers,CCI, Federal, Remington, RWS, and Winchester that I have heard of. That could be a fatal bottleneck.

They are so back ordered with the ammo manufactorers they haven’t been shipping to the reloading wholesalers... I’ve seen some pistol primers, mostly from Europe, but no rifle primers except a few, very few, magnums...

A friend told me that if you show up when they open, Academy will sell you whatever they have gotten overnight.
