Seems like the only way to keep naysayers from utterly destroying a thread is to ride them ALMOST as fiercely as they assault the topic and those of us who want to discuss it reasonably.

I realize that ignoring them might work with many . . . yet so many of them are relentlessly assaultive even when one ignores them.

Anyway—yeah, there is a certain kind of energy that seems to accrue from all the fierceness. LOL.

Nine line bind means keep them in a predicament.
It refers to the block on a drilling rig which moves the drill pipe in and out of the hole. The block is moved by ganged pulleys which can have as many as 9 lines going to them (lots of mechanical advantage). When the pipe gets stuck (very bad thing), you crank up the diesels for all they are worth and pull (nine line bind) like hell. Pipe comes free or drilling rig collapses (a definite predicament).

Have been around the stuff [hauled more drilling mud than I ever wanted to] but didn’t learn all the terms.

Everything we know about a legend may be wrong.

A long forgotten documentary which includes an analysis of a rare film taken by George Adamski, an icon from the early days of the modern age of UFO sightings, has surfaced on YouTube thanks to the effort of historian Neil Gould.

The 7 segment YouTube film is well worth watching in its entirety, but a particularly compelling segment discusses a seldom seen film, originally shot by Adamski himself in the presence of Madeline Rotterfor in the back yard of her house in Silver Spring, Maryland, in February 1965.

What the segment shows is the analysis done on the film, which—along with the testimony of Rotterfor, Sir Desmond Leslie and others who knew Adamski personally—makes a compelling case for the authenticity of the non-human origin of the saucer seen to dance in the sky.

Layered behind the photo analysis conducted at Kodak labs are a number of testimonials and accounts that shed new light on one of the most familiar names in UFO history prior to some point.

We live in northeast Murrysville near Saltzburg Road aprx. 2 miles west of 66. LifeFlight flies southeast to northwest directly over our ridge. Sadly, they sometimes fly low altitude sending the cats in all directions.

The area is very rural and the location of the "problem" bears a couple of years back. It is very quiet up here in the north. I know the area you live in and always wondered about the level of "pike" noise.

I was going to mention the Life Flight helicopters too. They regularly fly from Westmoreland Hospital, on a flight path over Murrysville, to the major Pittsburgh Hospitals.

We normally do not hear them until they clear our ridge. This is just a couple of thousand feet. As soon as they clear the far ridge the noise stops. When LifeFlight is overhead you feel like hitting the deck.

This sequence of videos (I don’t know how many sections it’s in. I think I’m no section 6) is well worth watching.

The film had extensive analysis by the top analysts in the field at Kodak etc.

I had the opportunity to watch Section 6, IMO a very good video well worth watching. The “armada” sequence near the end, filmed in 1967, is also of interest!!
