So many Elim escapees have returned to the Catholic Church and they all feel a tremendous sense of relief and emancipation.

No more wife-swapping, no more pressure to engage in petty-larceny or pressure to log onto the internet and pursue campaigns of slander against the Catholic Church.

I have become quite the expert on cowardly low-grade iconoclasm through my lamentable contact with it over these several years on Free Republic.

This is how I know not to expect you to identify your favorite priest/rabbi/preacher/leader/etc. Once he was identified and I remember your meltdown at the slightest criticism of him.

Better for him (and you) that you protect him from the vicious onslaught of critical words.

I have the guts to stand up for my church in the face unfair criticism. I know it's not perfect. It has a billion people and has a 2,000 year history. Hell, the U.S has been around for just one tenth of that and I could go off on a rant about the injustices it has been a part of such as slavery, child labor and broken treaties with the Indians.

I love my country and I love my religion despite their past and present sins. Are you so ashamed of you religion that you can't declare it?
