However, I’ve observed Holy Spirit use very . . . unlikely . . . very provocative . . . very prickly, startling, obnoxious stuff to The Kingdom’s good more than a few times.
As near as I can figure it out . . . it seems to have something to do with MEMORABLE.
Pablum, gentle breeze sorts of stuff just don’t tend to be very memorable for most people.
Burrs in the saddle sorts of things get a lot more thought and attention over a much longer period.
I do appreciate your exhortation and will continue to prayerfully hold it in the back of my mind on this thread.

The problem is people are LAZY - spiritually and otherwise.
They’d rather have people or clergy tell them WHAT to believe that fits their agenda.

Jeremiah declared foolish the Old Testament Israelites who had eyes, but refused to see what God was trying to show them, and ears, with which they refused to hear his prophetic warning of imminent danger!

Today people are PROUD of being DUMB. We have oodles of bookies for DUMMIES and people scoop them up like candy.
