I can not speak for the other poster but it seems to me that the argument is that legalizing will not stop this and may in fact lead to more problems such as this and many more that are as yet unrealized.

10AM Public Hanging

Case closed.

Yes by cracky, making this stuff illegal will prevent this kind of thing from happening. Oh, wait it’s already illegal. Never mind.

But don't you see? If drugs are legalized then thousands more children will be having their eyes eaten by their parents. (sarc off/ as if it's necessary to even say this)

They should transplant his eyes into the child as they are father/son it should work before they do him in.

legalizing will not stop this and may in fact lead to more problems such as this and many more that are as yet unrealized.

I would never argue that legalizing drugs would stop people from doing these things.

However if you where to legalize a greater number of less harmful drugs for recreational use you may be able to divert the users of dangerous drugs (like PCP) to these other drugs.

Many times I read the suggestion that cannabis a gateway drug to other more harmful drugs as an argument for its remaining illegal.

The fact that cannabis is a gate way drug is owing to the fact that it is illegal.

Using cannabis necessitates that you come in contact with others that use or sell illegal drugs. It should not be surprising that a cannabis user would come in to contact with other illicit drugs and might be prodded in to trying more dangerous drugs.

If cannabis were available legally those who wish to buy it would not need to enter the world of criminals to acquire their drug of choice and therefore would not come in to contact with the more harmful drugs.

I will say for the record that I do not use illegal drugs and only advocate legalization because I do not believe that the War on Drugs is worth the damage it is doing to our Liberty and our country.

I also am not a Libertarian.

Climbing off the soap box.

the only upside to this story is that the press has finally demonstrated the proper use of the term ‘torture’

as for the father... just roll over him with a steamroller outside the courthouse. please obey the speed limits

and thanks again to liberals for allowing us to enjoy diversity mixed with the drug culture. bonuses all around

The child told police, “Daddy ate my eyes.”

I have a 4-year-old son. I am literally speechless. This monster should be put to death. Period. There can be no other suitable punishment for someone who has just ruined a child's entire life in such a grotesque, inhuman manner. SICKENING!!!!

The cops should also find this guy's PCP dealer, and everyone connected with it, and just shoot the bastards.

I am never clicking on a child abuse story ever again. I always end up crying.

I'm not crying, mainly because I've already clicked on too many of these. But this is the last one. This is something that shouldn't even be allowed in horror films.
