Some of us don’t hate pit bulls any more than we hate rattlesnakes. But we’ll support the killing of one just as readily as the other if it’s in a place where innocent people or other dogs (or cats etc) are at risk.

Do live in a perfect world where everything goes right 100% of the time!
Apparently there is more to this story!

There is so much senseless tragedy involving dogs because pigheaded people refuse to comply with leash laws. That is something we can agree on. Laws concerning loose dogs need to have some teeth- the owner needs to face serious enough consequences for violating things like leash laws that they will either not have dogs or take good care of them.

If you live on an 80 acre farm and have cows..how do feel about some stray dog or 2 getting into your pasture and running your cows? Do you call the Sheriff and wait for him to come and get the dog, or do you grab your shotgun and take off to the pasture to dispatch the dogs...I have know people that have cattle, and I know what they have done with that exact situation...Dog off leash threaten you, your dog or your livestock do you just say nice doggy...As far a witness is concerned , I would want to know his/her relationship to the owner of the dead dog...

Even thought I have had 6 children, I might tell someone I am a virgin and they would be dumb enough to believe it..Pits and pit breeds and rottys are dangerous dogs because most people that own them are stupid..

Some just have a perverted pleasure.
I ws bit by a Scottish Terrier while riding my bike. It broke the skin, major.

GO HARLEY he is too cute for words..

Did you kick it across the street? I mean, you own WOLVES, which are far and away more complicated, intelligent and dangerous than a measly pit bull..
You are the earthly manifestation of Diana, I swear.

I wish it was just a loose dog. We have packs of coyotes. The dogs are afraid of them. And the bears.

Any Pit Bull running loose should be considered an imminent deadly threat and killed immediately.

ol
I was 9 years old then....
Actually, the biggest fear of my wolves..IF they get loose and have not in over 5 years. They are 6 now. I fear for them or someones pet.
Storm is not partial to an animal not of his pack. He loves the 4 and 5 lb house dogs we have, but they are part of the family. Shy would keep away from anyone she does not know. If cornered, she would act. If not, she would not. Storm, on the other hand, thinks everyone loves him.
No matter what, if they got out, someone would shoot and kill them out of fear.
This is why we have a double enclosed area for them.
Shy got out of the first a few months ago, she did all she could to dig back into the main enclosure. She likes to feel “safe”
She loves kids, but anyone over the age of 15 or so ( that she does ot know) she goes to the furthest part of the enclosure to keep away from them.
Poor Storm thiks the entire world loves him. If he got loose, he is so big and daunting looking, he would die by a gun shot. I an not be sure if I could blame the person that did it. He is huge.
Thus is why, they are well fed, loved and exercised, played with and loved. They love their home.
I got major licks today when I went out and played with them.

Bears are not a problem in Michigan (except in the UP) but we have coyotes within 40 miles of Detroit...Have had a couple of puma sighting in the past couple of years, but the government says no because no proof. (thank God I never saw one) But coyotes and fox howling raises the hair at the back of the neck...
