Wo shi hen hao, xie xie! Ni ne?

I carry in WA, in China I have a dispensation that allows me to keep them at my apartment, and shoot them at designated shooting ranges. I’m angling to get a diplomatic exemption to carry.

I can carry in most of the union through reciprocity, but not my home state. Go figure. I am honestly shocked that the Chinese are so accommodating especially to a foreigner.

We've fallen a long way from our Founder's intent.

BTW, I am doing fine.

You point is well taken about taking care to ensure the gun fits the hand well, that when you grip it, it becomes a comfortable natural extension of our arm, wrist, and hand.

I bought a Glock 19 yesterday, but only after the salesman encouraged me try several CZs. I love what I’ve read about the CZs, and I was impressed with the fit and finish when I looked at them close up. But I noticed that when I closed my hand around the grip of any CZ model with a compact frame the somewhat sharp forward edge of the standard CZ magazine would dig into the bottom 1/8th of an inch of the fleshy part of my little finger. I didn’t notice it at first. I noticed only after I alternated holding the Glock. The salesman had no such problem with the CZs but his hand was just t-h-a-t much smaller than mine. The Glock 19 fit my hand perfectly, and I’ve fired one before so I knew what I would be getting if I bought it. So that’s what I got.

I would have hated to have impulsively bought the CZ and only noticed the little finger pinch AFTER I had put a box of ammo through it.

I own a 9mm XDM and my only complaint is that the trigger break isn’t as crisp as I like. Thus, my groups aren’t as tight as I’d like. I shoot ~3-4” groups at 10 yards, which is “good enough” in a defensive situation, but a H&K .40 that I tried at the range that a fellow shooter had, and which had a much better trigger, I put three nearly through the same hole on the same target.

Lots is the guy or gal behind the butt of the weapon, but the trigger is a big deal too. I hear the XDMs get better with age; mine may just not have enough rounds through it yet.
