Doesn't bother me at all. You suggested people try to find out the cause, which you alleged is related to behavior, but the Mayo Clinic, and many other web sites, claim the cause in not known.
If you've evidence contrary to this you should post it or a link to it.

This is a posting to all on the thread. I’m a radiation oncologist; colon cancer, rectal cancer and anal canal cancers are all very different. Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with anal canal carcinoma, which is most frequently caused by HPV. HPV causes most cervical cancers as well. It’s also increasing associated with oropharyngeal cancers.

I pray that she recovers from her malignancy.

I had her poster on my wall in my college dorm room. At the time, she was on one of the loveliest and most stylish creatures in the Good Lord’s creation. My best to her and her family in this, their most difficult of times..

My mom was going through chemo and radiation back in 2006 (for lung cancer). The Cleveland Clinic has a little shuttle for those going for radiation. She met a young man in his 40’s who had anal cancer. They struck up a nice friendship and he was so loving and kind to my mom. He died last year. My mom is going strong (so far, so good). He was very reticent about saying what he had b/c people would give him weird looks.

No. Colon cancer is completely different from anal cancer. Colon cancer is, as you can guess, inside the colon. Anal cancer is within the anus or rectum.

Just because you can get it from what you say doesn’t mean she did. Try and be charitable now. You never know what’s coming your way.

We live in a culture that is in complete denial about
what the “sexual revolution “ has wrought.
Cervical cancer is a result of a venereal disease.
Most of the infertility problems are as well.
But I am sure I will just be told to shut up and
not bring up these "mean" things.
Grow up, everybody - might help protect your kids,
friends and grand kids to know this stuff.

Yes, I read that when I did a Google search.

Like I said, this is a disease that is behavior related.
HPV is a venereal disease. You really do not have to beat
this to death. I am sure you do get my point.
