Michael Bolton? Check.

America? Check.

Air Supply? Check

Bread? Check

Hall & Oates? Check

Styx? Check.

Boston? Check.

It doesn't look like they've got any reason to keep Rush (or Orleans, for that matter) out.

Neil Peart organized and produced two Buddy Rich tribute albums - he knows very well who the real "best" is, even if some of his fans don't. ;)

As for being elected to the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame", it seems to be a Jann Wenner vanity award and not a serious honor. And Rush isn't "Rock and Roll", anyway (that's Chuck Berry, et al) - they, Yes, Dream Theater, and other prog rock bands have completely transcended that older blues-based genre and created something entirely new.

.the late great Tony Thompson

I thought I was the only fan of his work. A damn fine percussionist. You could set your clock with him. He's a human metronome like Andy Summers.

I too love Joe's Garage. I know Vinnie was good from those albums, but didn't know he was that good until later. He is phenomenal.

I saw Neil Peart using the traditional grip on his sticks during a Buddy Guy tribute. I thought he was playing better than with Rush. I figured he was a Buddy Rich fan. I'm not a drummer, but if I was, Buddy Rich would be my standard.

To this day, no drummer comes close.

Tony’s work is some of the most ripped off (by rap artists sampling)...it killed me that his Power Station kit...the black one...was put up on sale on e-bay for 3,200.00 as a buy it now and nobody bought it. It was put up to raise funds to pay off his old medical bills.

If I had known at the time and the cash to spare...I would have grabbed it in a hot second.

Incorrect there...they played all of 2112 on their Test For Echo tour which clocks in around 20 mins.

They have run through The Camera Eye in rehersals for years and are bored to tears every time they play it. I love TCE as well but the full version has never been played live...even when it was played live it had a chorus cut out of it. It’s the single most requested song by fans and it is the one song they refuse to budge on.

My dream list of songs to hear live has shrunk over the last few tours...Circumstances and Entre Nous took care of a few from my top ten. My first tour was in 1984..Grace Under Pressure but I would kill to hear/see those songs performed again with those original instruments.

Songs would love to see live:

Here Again
Before and After
Beneath, Between, and Behind
In The End
Making Memories
Farewell to Kings
Cinderella Man
all of Hemispheres
Jacobs Ladder
Different Strings
Camera Eye
Losing It
all Fear songs again...including Freeze
Afterimage
Body Electric
Emotion Detector
Grand Designs
Middletown Dreams
Open Secrets
Prime Mover
High Water
Presto
Chain Lightning
Available Light
Big Wheel
Neurotica
Where’s My Thing?
Double Agent
Cut To The Chase
Everyday Glory
Time and Motion
Resist (electric)
Totem
Carve Away The Stone
Vapor Trail
Nocturne
Bravest Face
Good News First

Good gravy! Even Barbara Streisand and Alan Parsons are in there!

That's the "Not in the Hall of Fame" list. Trust me, Barbara Streisand is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
