thanks.
thought provoking.
I don't believe this makes sense. IIRC the real reason for the name "Red Forest" is because all the trees were killed by the radiation and the leaves on the dead trees had a reddish tinge.
Thank you for sharing these. I’m spellbound.
Thanks for the post.
That place is an urban explorers dream. Its pretty incredible that more stuff hasn’t been carted away as souvenirs (like those newspapers and that gas mask)
Amazing.. thanks for the great post.

2nd post of yours today I’ve found fascinating. Thank you!
Kind of looks like parts of Detroit with a touch of Russian culture added.
HBO has run a documentary called “ Chernobyl Heart “. It is about the victims/ survivors/ offspring of Chernobyl and the organization that helps.
It is almost impossible to watch. I have never seen anything like it. The birth defects are as horrible as you can imagine. The birth mortality rate is astoundingly high, obviously. People actually live in Belarus, which was covered by the radiation cloud. They claim the earth that was exposed is inhabitable for at least 600 years.
Thyroid cancer and heart defects abound in the living. The orphanages are heartbreaking. The group “ Chernobyl Heart “ helps out the cause.
I warn anyone who watches it, you will never forget it so think before you consider seeing it. It is heartbreaking.
Soviet socialsm as horrible as it was - sure looks a lot better than American/Democrat/ACORN/Obama style socialism in Camden, NJ, Detroit, Oakland and other sewers.
You beat me to the Detroit post!
You are correct about the DC prediction too
wow amazing...
bookmarked.
me too bump for later
Superb. Thank you very much for the thread.
Have you tried the STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear sky games?
That is a great site. I have been to the detroityes site several times. But this one will make a real impact on those who have never seen the beforehand. I do remember the before since I lived there. I remember MCental as a kid. Thanks.
Very cool.
