SB799 - March 23, 2009 Monday of the Fourth Week of Lent
Bishop Anthony B. Taylor is asking Catholics in Arkansas to support the Act to Increase Access to Post-Secondary Education, commonly known as the DREAM Act, which is currently before the Arkansas General Assembly. (en español)
If approved, the law would allow undocumented students who graduated from an Arkansas high school and lived in the state for at least three years to receive in-state tuition at Arkansas universities and colleges.
SB799 was recently introduced by Sen. Joyce Elliott of Little Rock and is currently before the Senate Committee on Education.

Keep in mind that Arkansas has just approved a State Lottery where the prceeds will be used for College Scholarships, so it's not just in-state tuition they are pushing for.

I figure I should quit feeding the monster.
If the church is not following the rules it professes to the public, then we have a word for that too. Hypocrites.
