De-evolution has finally arrived and who better to guide us through the mess than Devo.
I've always kinda hated the band, but it's hard to argue with that. :')

Oh, thanks a lot sushiman. /sarc I was in my blissful ignorance about Devo being Zerobama supporters. Now, I guess I’ll have to stop listening to them, along with John Cougar Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Hornsby, Don Henley, and Pearl Jam. I wish these artists would just shut up and SING.

I’ve been deleting friends from my MYSPACE page left and right : Devo ; B-52s ; Portishead ; Bob Dylan ; and a host of others . They don’t need to advertise their preference ; like you saod - just sing and shut up !

Devo was the idea they had while making a film for the Ann Arbor film festival in the mid-70s. They needed a soundtrack for the film and became a band. Mothersbough went on to working in television making sountracks for tv shows and tv commercials.
To my knowledge, they didn't concoct any multimedia Obama adverts.

Is that art by Shepherd Fairey, the same man who made the famous street art posters of OBAMESSIAH?

I know that...was just being silly! Autobahn, the nihilist band from the movie, is supposed to be a parody of Kraftwerk, I think.
Abide
Donny: Are these the Nazis, Walter?
Walter Sobchak: No, Donny, these men are nihilists, there's nothing to be afraid of.
and . . .
Walter Sobchak: Nihilists! F*** me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

Interesting. I don’t know. If it is, I wonder how many on the left have condemned him for his racist depiction?
