Must be expecting a small riot.
I disagree. The long history of this country in which the military has ALWAYS performed its duties in a patriotic, honoring, respectful way, would constitute a complete repudiation of its training & drillingk, to ignore orders issued from above. I think that any soldiers or officers would immediately be arrested and charged with mutiny and that would squelch any further military dissent. At a minimum the black soldiers who also support Oboombamessiah would likely carry out his orders and fire on white civilians especially.
NATIONAL Guard. If you think they are ultimately controlled by the States you are dreaming.
Please post the applicable Article and Section of the Constitution which prohibits the use of the Army from being used to put down rebellion within the united States.
PS - Didn’t Pres. Lincoln and the U.S. Congress make use of the U.S. Army within the U.S. a while back? I think it was some time around 1861... ...give or take...
I hope you’re right. I also hope the “military” leaders in charge in Iraq would refuse an order to shoot down Israeli jets flying over on their way to Iran.
It may end up that the military will be the only ones with food to eat. If it comes to that, they’ll obey the orders. It’s either that or join the hungry.
Nobody’s job is safe. I just heard from a nurse friend this morning that they had a lay off at the hospital where she works and her hours were cut.
I’m know this is very negative but I have a feeling we are about to see the end of mankind. And John McCain being in the Oval Office wouldn’t have made any difference.
It’s that BLASTED double-negative thing again, isn’t it?
;^)
I did. Even a nutter will occasionally stumble across a real story.
I did my homework, there are three .gov listings for this. Although the story may be blown out of proportion, the underlying kernel of truth is there.
What publication broke the Monica Lewinsky story again?
Sorry...
“...which prohibits the Army from being used to put down rebellion within the united States”.
Sheesh. I gotta learn to proof-read.
Grrr...formatting ...
Would or would not?
My sources tell me the only way they are permitted to fire on US citizens would be IF they were firing at them, or there was an imminent threat on their life...hurling bricks, molotov cocktails etc.
no.
That is one of my questions. I’ll have to look it up.....the Constitution that is. Lincoln was addressing a war, not a civil disturbance. Yes, during a war, the Guard can be pulled into the control of the Army....as we see today.
We need a Constitutional lawyer here on this one. I think it is one question that should be answered for the people. Not that we could do anything about it if HumVees rolled up to our front doors.
On 28 July, 1932, Attorney General Mitchell ordered the police evacuation of the Bonus Army veterans, who resisted; the police shot at them, and killed two. When told of the killings, President Hoover ordered the U.S. Army to effect the evacuation of the Bonus Army from Washington, D.C.Then there is this:
Does the Posse Comitatus Act Still Exist?
Kim Lane Scheppele
I suspect that the Posse Comitatus Act has essentially disappeared since 9/11. We have good reason to believe that the president is operating on legal advice telling them that the Posse Comitatus Act cannot be a restriction on the president in fighting terrorism within the United States. How do we know? In the Torture Papers (edited by Karen Greenberg and Joshua Dratel), Item #13 is a memo written by Jay Bybee that references another memo at footnote 16 on p. 163. The footnote?
We recently opined that the Posse Comitatus Act, 18 U.S.C. s. 1385 (1994), which generally prohibits the use of the Armed Forces for law enforcement purposes absent constitutional or statutory authority to do so, does not forbid the use of military force for the military purpose of preventing and deterring terrorism within the United States. See Memorandum for Alberto R. Gonzales, Counsel to the President and William J. Haynes II, General Counsel, Department of Defense, from John C. Yoo, Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Robert J. Delahunty, Special Counsel, Office of Legal Counsel, Re: Authority for the Use of Military Force to Combat Terrorist Activities within the United States at 15-20 (Oct. 23, 2001).
$6 million in riot gear for Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
So what! Need I remind anyone that Fort Leavenworth, Kansas is a military prison and that a purchase of riot gear for a prison is a normal thing by any stretch of the imagination.
There is nothing to see here, move along.....
I always wanted to say that...
That wouldn't buy much.
It’s howdy Gulag time!

“What publication broke the Monica Lewinsky story again?”
The National Inquirer...the bat boy baby?...not so much...
My point is the source and the motive for the article... even the national enquirer hasnt even posted a story that 9/11 was an inside job...ALEX JONES HAS.
And I cannot believe this thread hasnt gotten the ZOT yet...
There may be training going on behind the scenes- but until we get this story from a more credible source I will file it away. Not one 9/11 truther deserves a moment of respect or a fair hearing. Period.
Sorry! He believes they would NOT fire on the American people. (typo!)
Thank you
