RIGHT ON ... BTW just got a shot at a job in Austin ... lets cross our fingers my friend
Increases in TriCare premiums have been recommended for nearly a decade, now. Google Tom Philpot, the syndicated reporter who writes about veterans’ affairs.
I’m trying to recall - I believe DoD pushed and the White House backed the increases, but Congress refused to put them into the Defense Budget legislation.
Whatever, I’m looking forward to yet another tax increase...
Hope you get the job, but Austin is a liberal septic tank. You Have Been Warned.
I’ll live out by Lake Travis hopefully the country folk have more sense than the 6th street crowd. I worked for Motorola in Austin for a little while
It's not implied by recruiters. It's preached. This has been a strong selling point for recruiters since the early '70's.
This has to be either a rumor or a myth. America's veterans and active duty are not going to sit by while an ingrate strips them of the most important benefit (earned at that) they have.
This would prompt me to ask, does he intend to do something similar to the others he has made promises to?
There is no more CHAMPUS. Active duty personnel are covered under TriCare/ I’d have to check, but I do believe the bean-counters have recommended that famiy members of active duty personnel will pay for their health care.
6th Street is a plague of dysfunctional human refuse.
I think the smartest guy on 6th street wears a dress :<)
Old acronyms die hard.
I don’t think they ever proposed a nearly $3000 annual premium, though
welcome to free healthcare for life
you new guys better get it in writing
Good grief, the CBO document is a 230-page PDF...
How about the old, gray-haired hippie who wears the black leather chaps and leather thong undies? I think he has an ownership stake as well.
“more deductions from the the militaries bottom line”
So our health care costs will increase so Medicaid coverage can be expanded!
Here's an example
Move to Georgetown or further north to get away from liberal crackpots.
I have good news: They will stop losing money when we stop giving it to them to lose. Until then, they will lose money and the taxpayers will pay.
The bearded guy in the dress ran for mayor some years ago ...
Aye, that they do.
