I didn't know that Deseret News is a Mormon publication until someone pointed it out to me.

MORMONs are involved in a LOT of things most people do not know about.

The majority of it's employees also are non-members.

Is RELIGION something that is listed on the personell record of employees?

Was a POLL taken ASKING folks which church they were affiliated with?

...and to think only because LDS is involved in the program.

At least you noticed that LDS was 'involved' and not the ONLY one doing the good works of donating chairs.

The TITLE (LDS donation has Iraqis wheelin' good) doesn't say that.

I think you have me confused with someone else.

That seems to happen a lot.

And you may want to look at sevenbak comments, who so earnestly conveys the fact that the paper is ran by non-Mormons, who, IN EFFECT, reported the story and carrying the mantle of the tooting horn for the church, that you and your ilk tried so desparately to place upon the LDS church.

No; he did not. His QUOTE is as follows.

Yes it's parent company is owned by the Church, but most of it's employ es are non-LDS.

What a creepy thing for you to say. I’m not LDS but I think it’s fine for them to talk about this. How else would people know of the problems that need to be addressed. How many wheelchairs have you donated, or is that a secret between you and God as well?

I didn’t make this about LDS.

True - the thread TITLE made it about LDS.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Yeshua, Jew, Son of God, The One And Only City of God, Jerusalem ~20AD.

the title just begs for that reference doesn’t it?

I guess everyone sees what they want to see...

Personally, I thought of this..

Matthew 5:14 - 16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Thanks for posting this story Restornu. It's very up lifting and gives me hope that there's still some kindness left in this world.

My wife took my oldest son to go volunteer some time at the Bishop's Store House today.

She told me that a man and women came into the store house today and asked for some food. Times are hard all over. It just breaks my heart.

They aren't LDS, but of course that didn't matter. They filled out a form and were given two weeks worth of groceries.

It brings a lot of joy to help others.
