I tried to sit through Dollhouse.

I just couldn’t connect with it. It was drawn out, dull, slow paced.

I found I rather liked it. But I agree, it was a bit slow. But I don't really recall any TV shows I've ever seen that I didn't find a bit slow or dull at first, including ER, Hill Street Blues, and Firefly. It seems that the good shows need a few episodes to really find their footing.

My three favorites are:
Kirk
Reynolds
Adm. Adama

I think I could follow orders from any of them, if I ever found myself in that particular situation.

His ship was being retired, not on any real mission. He was basicalling commander for a day. Its a development of a plot. It was on its last flight in a historical sense. Its arms and fighters were old tech about to be moth balled or put in a museum. It was not even on the Cylons radar as a real threat. That's how they survived, luck not skill. Not even worthy of notice. The plot was this old ship and a remanant slipped off with their tales between their legs to run or fight another day, looking for salvation and safety. If you don't like someone or thing fine but have a real reason. I enjoyed this now back to the financial crisis.lol

I watched a couple of minutes of Dollhouse. It looked as creepy (in a twisted, not horrific way) as it sounded and I didn’t bother with it. I’m just not interested in the premise of the show.

I'll take a pass on the new Adama. I was hoping the recent coup would finish him off. Favorite commanding officer from an audience perspective? Kirk, Reynolds, (Sheridan), O'Neill, classic Adama. Favorite commanding officer from a serving under them perspective? Nearly reverse order (O'Neill, classic Adama, (Sheridan), Reynolds, Kirk), especially if I'm wearing a red shirt and/or am not a recurring regular.

As for where the new BSG is going, I think the explanation with what's going on with the humanoid Cylons was a lot better than it could have been and could be quite interesting, depending on where they go with it. But elements of it still feel like they're making it up as they go.

I just realized that Dean Stockwell guest starred on the one episode of Miami Vice that stuck out in my memory, Bushido in 1985, where he played an old CIA friend of Lt. Castillo, played by Edward James Olmos. It's an interesting episode that's all about Castillo, not the two leads.

I do like where Lost is going so far and Heroes seems to be getting interesting again. I'm annoyed that Obama preempted Chuck, so now they'll be showing some episodes out of order so that their Valentine's Day episode can be shown on Monday.

OK, I’m going with Lt. Col. Samantha Carter, cause she’s definitely the smartest and the one I’d get along with the best.

It was not even on the Cylons radar as a real threat.

I believe that you're wrong about that. There were at least two Cylon "embeds" with Galactica when the war started: Boomer (who was a sleeper) and PR-Guy (who was an infiltrator). Galactica was definitely seen as a threat, especially since Adama's orders *not* to allow *any* networked computers made her a real wildcard.

Then, as it turns out, (here we go with potential spoilers for those who haven't seen the last couple/few eps) ...

there were two other Cylons who were embedded (by John/Cavil) as sleepers - Tigh and Tyrol. By extension Helen Tigh as well.

I think when all is said and done, we're going to learn that Galactica was part of the Cylon's "plan", as it was assumed she would be the only Battlestar that would survive the takedown of the fleet (Cain saved Pegasus by doing something near-suicidal with her blind FTL jump).

Do you know if Eureka will be back on SciFi?

What about Jerico and Jeremiah? I just finished watching the recorded episodes of the original episodes of Jeremiah that aired a couple weeks ago and the more I watched the more I enjoyed them.

These series should be required to have final episodes waiting in the wings in case they are cancelled instead of leaving their faithful followers hanging.........

Jerico is done AFAIK. They brought it back by ‘popular demand’ and let the writers/directors try to tie up some of the loose ends.

I was disappointed - I liked that one too.
