No...this sounds more like some stuff I worked on a couple years ago planning contingencies if Cuba was destablized and has mass evacuations. Part of that was establishing temporary processing centers for families and singles.

In 1981, Hastings was charged with accepting a $150,000 bribe in exchange for a lenient sentence and a return of seized assets for 21 counts of racketeering by Frank and Thomas Romano, and of perjury in his testimony about the case. He was acquitted by a jury after his alleged co-conspirator, William Borders, refused to testify in court resulting in a jail sentence for Borders.
In 1988, the Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives took up the case, and Hastings was impeached for bribery and perjury by a vote of 413-3. Voters to impeach included Democratic Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, John Conyers and Charles Rangel. He was then convicted in 1989 by the United States Senate, becoming the sixth federal judge in the history of the United States to be removed from office by the Senate. The vote on the first article was 69 for and 26 opposed, providing five votes more than the two-thirds of those present that were needed to convict. The first article accused the judge of conspiracy. Conviction on any single article was enough to remove the judge from office. The Senate vote cut across party lines, with Senator Patrick J. Leahy, Democrat of Vermont voting to convict his fellow party member, and Arlen Specter voting to acquit.
The Senate had the option to forbid Hastings from ever seeking federal office again, but did not do so.

What will happen in the United States if you allow all of the schmucks to bring the country to crisis? To promise people all kinds of goodies, a paradise on Earth. To destabilize your economy, to eliminate the principle of Free Market competition, and to put a big brother government in Washington DC. The benevolent dictators like Walter Mondale who will promise loads of things, never mind if they are realistic or not. He will go to Moscow to kiss the bottoms of a new generation of Soviet assassins. He will give the false illusion that the situation is under control. The situation is NOT under control, situation is disgustingly out of control. Most of the American politicians, media, and educational professionals train another generation of young Americans that believe they are living at a peace time. False! United States is in a state of war. Undeclared Total War against the basic principles and foundations of this system. The initiator of this war is not Comrade Andropov of course. It's the system. However ridiculous it may sound, the world communist system, or the world communist conspiracy. Whether that scares some people I don't give a hoot. If you're not scared by now then nothing can scare you.

Yes, I doubt it. Not that I doubt many commie-libs would like the idea, but the necessary components are not in place.
They would need the equivalent of SS troops blindly commited to their 'fearless leader', for one thing. Right now, we have the US armed forces. Do you, or does anyone in their clear-thinking mind believe that the same men and women who voluntered to fight Islamo-fascists in the Mid-East (many of whom post right here on FR) would willingly or unwillingly acquiesce to such a plan -- namely, rounding up and imprisoning their own friends and families, at the orders of BHO?
Or the local police depts? They can't even get a handle on the gang problems in their cities.
As for the idea (mentioned in some other posts) that Hamas or Hezbollah infiltrators (who haven't been able to destroy their arch-enemy Israel for 60 years) could do the job -- don't make me laugh, please. There are sleeper cells that could do damage allright, as we saw on 9/11, but even the German gov't in WWII considered an invasion of the USA as out of the question, due to the large numbers of gun owners here.
Now, having said that, I would begin to give some credence to the concentration camp scenario if I saw the following:
A private army dedicated to 'fearless leader'. ie. a REAL army, trained and equipped, not a bunch of teenaged ACORN wackos.
BHO being named President for Life.
Torchlight parades or the equivalent mass rallies, with strange symbolism and hypnotic speeches given by 'fearless leader'.
Total gun confiscation, suspension of habeas corpus, purging the House and Senate of all real conservatives, including yellow-dog Democrats.
I am not saying it COULDN'T happen here, but we are far, far away from THEM (commie-libs) going after US (FR types, gun owners, anyone who values his/her freedom). We outnumber and out gun ANY of the possible groups that have been mentioned as threats in this thread.
Finally, I will note that in the 200+ years of our Republic, the US military has NEVER shown the slightest inclination or intention of grasping for overt political control. And how many people, out of 300 million, could SIX camps hold?
Time to put your paranoia to rest and concentrate on real threats and real solutions. Our current 'fearless leader' lacks the experience, guts and guile to foment and put in place such a plan. Let's be cautious, let's be aware, but keep in mind that the greatest thing to fear is the defeatist mindset that sees disaster right around the corner, and simultaneously doubts the ability of the American people to sniff out treason and soundly stomp out the little brush fires before a Fascist New Order emerges.
Should I apologize for my cautious optimism? NO WAY! I am just trying to put a little balance in this thread. It's threads like this that make the DUmmies laugh at us, and think they have succeeded in scaring all conservatives to cowering in fear in a dark corner.

Corsi and WND are not my favorite sources either, but we do have the text of the bill right in front of us this time. I think you are on target in mentioning Biden’s warning. The Zero administration probably expects that the economy will tank completely later this year and there is precious little they can, or will, do about it. If this happens to coincide with, say, the Iranian nuclear attack that I now regard as inevitable, life could become very dangerous indeed for anyone associated with the “peace” movement, liberal politics, or the media left in general. Hastings’s bill could well be an attempt to prepare for this and protect the Zero’s power base from what could effectively be a mass uprising. This would not be against the government per se, but against the cultural forces who have brought us to this sorry state of affairs. The government’s involvement would result from the current administration’s political dependence on those very targets.
We have those already. They were built in 1998 and 1999 to deal with civil unrest anticipated in Y2K.
