Wonderful graphic, JC! I love it!
Thank you yorkie! It reminded me of many years ago, when we would go to the beach and have windows open to hear the ocean while sleeping. Talk about sweet and soothing...I long for those days, sentimental old fool that I am. LOL~~
Adorable puppy graphic, Kitty. I bet your ‘Doggie’ looked like that when he was a puppy! Thanks, Kitty.
The drama played out in a nest of bald eagles monitored by a webcam. A beloved eagle family, viewed by many via the Internet, was breaking up. After raising several offspring in previous seasons, the mother again laid new eggs in the spring. But then a young female invaded their happy home. When Dad started cavorting with her, Mom disappeared and the life in the abandoned eggs died.
In an Internet chat room, questions and accusations flew wildly. Everyone who loved the pair was distraught. Biologists warned the amateur eagle enthusiasts not to attribute human values to birds. But everyone did. We all wanted the original couple to reunite. Everyone seemed to know that the family unit is sacred.
As chat room members expressed their sadness, I wondered if they knew that God feels much the same way about human family breakups. I also wondered about myself: Why did I feel more sadness over the eagles than over the fractured human families in my community? Clearly, I need to revise my priorities.
In Malachi 2, we see Gods view of marriage. It symbolizes His covenant with His people (v.11). He takes it very seriouslyand so should we.
Oh my goodness Mayor. I can so relate to today’s ODB in so many ways! I adore bald eagles, and in fact are one of those “ internet viewers”! I also am watching the breakup of one of my dear children’s family, so this was a custom made ODB for me!
Thank you for your faithfulness in sending it every day.
Polly
WOW... I am in the process of reuniting with my daughter. We have not talked to each other in many years. She is coming here next weekend.
Break ups are tough on everyone, especially the kids.
Thank you for the lovely message in the Daily Bread this morning, Mr. Mayor! Oh, if people would only listen!
God Bless You on this upcoming reunion with your daughter. I will say a special prayer for this visit with you and your daughter....just hope it turns out to be a beautiful thing.
It must be a terrible thing to be separated for so long.
Thank you Jaycee. We have been emailing for a week so things are looking real good. She is 27 now and I have a grand daughter that is 3... Can’t wait.
Thinking about you and your family this morning, Polly. Hugs and prayers. Time for that black cloud hovering over you to move on!
Just wanted to tell you that your white satin background framed by the multi-colored background inside the tiny slivers of gold glitter is outstanding!
Aw, sweet bunny does look like it's clapping!
I am so glad to see you gettin into this stuff now! :)
It's beautiful enough to be a painting, isn't it, but I think it's a picture. :) I liked it, too. Thanks, Maj.
This is so beautiful, Amy and Lori!
I love the sand, ocean waves, etc. and the poem gives a few chill-bumps.....Some lust over other stuff...I lust for the beach...LOL!
I did a lot of stuff last night, Billie. I filed a couple that I finished to use sometime. Before I had my thinking cap on, I deleted a couple that I worked with....It helps me to look them over, study them a little and then find something to go inside. I truly lucked up on those pansies! That graphic had those little corners and everything seemed to match so well....I was pleased. (I still get mighty confused sometimes! LOL!
Thank you for all the compliments on yesterday's opening graphic & poem. I've had that poem saved for quite a while, just waiting for the right little boy, and Amy sent me a whole bunch of pictures the other day. In the group, was that cute little boy in glasses (at the end of the poem), and I thought of how I could change his expression to sad for the opening and wrap a snake around him for the climax to the poem. I loved the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, so I'm glad you all liked it. :)
Yorkie, I enjoyed your stories of your boys - you have such a knack for recounting your memories in a sweet, funny, entertaining way.
Kitty, was that your "Doggie" when he was a puppy in your post #4119? So sweet. :)
