I dont know how many times I tried to teach him to say Please give me two beers in French, Spanish, and Japanese. The only time he ever mastered the sentence was Italian. Too verbose for most monoglot Americans. Consider:
Antakaa minulle kaksi olutta.
versus:
Olut! Kaksi!

If they don’t speak beer in Finland, I’m not drinking there.

I don’t care so much about whether they speak beer, so long as they serve it.

I’m guessing that by the end of the evening, they would understand me better, and I would understand them better.
Especially if there are barmaids.

Im guessing that by the end of the evening, they would understand me better, and I would understand them better. Starting from zero your chances are good.
Especially if there are barmaids.
Wouldn't bet on that..

This will be Wednesday, if we don't have a nap today.

She’s not happy with me. I have to go to church at 12:30, but if they can keep Vlad up until I get home, we can all go to naps after that.

Ohfun. I’m not going anywhere today except to walk out to the mailbox and back.
Little Elderly Mother’s watch died, and I’m going to mail her one of mine. It has a big dial and large numerals, so I hope she’ll be able to use it.
Bless her heart. She’s so excited about going to Colorado next week to visit her grandson, and see his new baby girl!

My mother likes to get watches with big numbers, too! I just ask the kids what time it is. I should get some vacuum filters and maybe stamps in the mail today. If those don’t arrive, at least there’s “The County Edge,” the weekly newspaper.

Well, my nap with Wednesday was an Epic Failure, because James and Tom started screaming at each other at the foot of the stairs. And the County Edge didn’t come. But the Dyson filters did!

I’m expecting a couple of things, too, but they won’t come until tomorrow or later.
No nap again, huh? I get cranky when I get awakened by scrappy kids.

I wasn’t exactly asleep, but Wednesday was! Anyway, I got the pork roast finished and sent Anoreth to church with it, and I’ve got grits casserole in the oven for us. Now I need to get Vlad up from his nap (the reason I couldn’t just let James and Tom scream).

I don’t know what i want for supper. Just that I’m probably going to make it light, whatever it is.
Cooler weather on its way, and then I think spring will be here.

Grits is easy. James is painting with mud. Maybe he can get a grant from the Arts Council.
