Did you get the violets?
Will you have planters this year?

I’m still here, though I still can’t figure out how it happened...

Nope, no violets. The weather got really cold and windy and by the time I could get back out there, the mowers had been through. I didn’t want to shock the little wuzzers.
Don’t know about planters. It’s a little late now to be doing any planting or transplanting. I’ll have to wait until Fall, unless I do it indoors. And there isn’t enough light in here for ANY plants!

...that you’re still here, and not lying down in the dark with an icepack?

Yes...although, when I read your question, I read it as “ice pick.”
Ungh.

Better an icepick than an iceaxe. Maybe.
Woo hoo (sort of). The standard I was trying to download yesterday finally came through. All 510 pages of it.

The upper levels of the castle offer a garden with fresh tomatoes, (h)erbs, and Feta cheese.

Thanks. Cold rainy day here. But took an hour for a walk around the lake (up & down hills) while the computer chunked away. Some neighbors have been busy — their houses are completely different from my last walk around.

I dunno. Sometimes, I get “icepick headaches” along with the migraines. The good thing is that the icepick headaches strike and leave. But they can sometimes take my breath away.
Goodluck, printing all that stuff....

I don’t do Feta. It tastes like dirty gym socks smell.

I've printed larger. The standard I released for publication at the end of the year was just shy of 700 pages. I usually print these two-sided, 2 pages/side.
But I will definitely print this. Want backups, including paper, in case I lose that $170 PDF.

I like feta, in some things.
The right onions, raw, are good too. *\;-) You're making me hungry -- and the nearest place I can get any of the makings is 5 miles away.
Yahoo -- the new machine is up and running! Now to start configuring it...

Not very much, I’m afraid. I’ve been too busy with other things to pay much attention. Slashdot (www.slashdot.org) has had some updates on it, but I’ve only read the briefs.

"The upper levels of the castle offer a garden with fresh tomatoes, (h)erbs, and Feta cheese." The lower levels offer mushrooms, root cellars, and burly workers to haul things around.
There is also access to the spherical elevator tubeways to take you to the other habitats where little shops and restaurants put our home-grown produce and products to good use.
Just keep in mind the time difference. They're sleeping in Habitat A.

Doing washing...great idea...gonna get mine started. What a wonderful human achievement the washing machine is. I remember going to visit my grandparents in the early sixties in an outport of Newf and watching Grandma doing the washing with a scrub board.
