"Youre not evil." You've met her, and you still say that?
I've met you too and I don't say that about you either. You're both Good Folk. *\:^)
(Seriously, meeting other FReepers is a Good Thing because you get to know the person behind the screen name -- they're rarely what you [I] imagined, but they so often turn out to be So Much More.)

I didnt bother to take out my umbrella.
Ive seen Mary Poppins way too many times; besides, I like my umbrella. I dont want it to end up in Ballard. I hear you. You don't want it flying down the main drag, driverless, with the turn signal still flashing (apparently a Scandihoovian Ballardism being echoed). Ya betcha.
I think I used my commute-car umbrella in the last year (once), but before that..?
In anything but heavy rains, umbrellas are for Kalifornians. (Go home before you learn about PNW dismal, grim winters.)

"I've met you too and I don't say that about you either. You're both Good Folk." Oh, man, are you ever harshing my buzz. I am evil, evil! I tell you!
Gosh-Golly-Gee! I just know I'm going to Heck for my evil ways.
You don't even know how many people I've killed. Okay, they were fictional, but how do you think their fictional families feel?
Evil. Yep.

I just finished reading Perelandra again and the air on Venus seemed fine.

Walking across the UCSB campus, it was raining so hard that even cupping my hands over my nose did not bring me enough air to breathe. Ah. The little-known torture tactic known as vertical waterboarding.

"Eric John Stark grew up on Mercury." I had a little exposure to it myself. That's how I knew how the old barometers were made.
As for reading, and the air of Venus, you owe it to yourself, (especially considering the cost), to look up James Killus' book set in the skies of Venus called "Dark Underbelly".
It's everything you could ask for, and more.

I’d be careful about that, Sionnsar.
It could be a “toxic asset”.
.
No pun intended.

I’m such a slug-a-bed. I woke up ar 12:45 and couldn’t go back to sleep until almost 5:00. Now I feel like the Russian army marched over me and left behind their dirty socks.

Nothing worse than dirty Russian socks! We’ve been practicing the music for church. I believe we’ll do better than the last time ;-).

I can’t believe that you could ever do anything wrong with church music!
Mistakes just mean you aren’t perfect. Yet. ;o]

Heh! Thanks!
You should have read my first short story. I was 16, turned it on and got an F. Why? Because the teacher thought it was far too bizarre and descriptive, and made him shudder while he read it.
*shrugs* I liked it.

We just hadn’t practiced enough. And DP always gets cranky when he makes a mistake, even though nobody’s going to notice, because he’s a “real musician.” The rest of us just shrug.
Anoreth went to Mass at 9:00 and said the Bishop was there, but I don’t know if he’ll be at the Spanish service or not. He speaks Spanish pretty well - about like me, book-learned - only without the Tejano accent.

Meh.
Musicians have egos.
I've met a couple of Bishops, but I think both were when I was in high school. I also met a Monsignor.
