Can you not get either Hughesnet or Wildblue internet through satellite Probably not. I live on the north slope of a steep ridge. From what I'm hearing unless I downloaded this late at night it would about max out the allotted usage. And with my luck if I did get it and it worked COMCAST would change their minds LOL.

You’d have to find the “download and install elsewhere” version of that particular update, if it exists. Searching MS site might tell you this or direct you to a downloadable and deploy later version of the patch update.
This file would NOT be the patch that you would receive when you select “Tools - Windows Update”. I could be wrong on this since I haven’t done this before (download for later install). I have overheard my hardware guys say something to this effect and I’m fairly sure MS can offer most, if not all, patches either way.

Thanks for the reply. I've always used automatic downloads, trusting them to put what I need in. So far it has always worked ok, lol.
If it's nonessential I assume they will leave it up to us to download.
