I graduated from the nypd academy on dec 30th a number of years ago. I was in times square the next night for new years. It’s a rite of passage for us. I’m just wondering why this kid pulled his gun at all.

yeah i had heard that. usually if you have a gun and a taser both strapped to you, the taser is on your non-shooting hand's side.
