What dots? You are giving them alot more power than they deserve. It is funny nobody can really point out why we should really care.

They're only the richest, most powerful and influential people on the planet. (and not one of them has a maniacal ego or an unquenchable thirst for further wealth and power) ;>)

IMO, people don't point to these people because they are considered beyond reproach. Here's just of taste of their reach. http://www.modernhistoryproject.org/mhp/ArticleDisplay.php?Article=FinalWarn05-3

I wish I shared your optimism.

Many new voters believe that Carter was incredible and laid the foundation for Reagan’s success. They think that Reagan wrongly got credit for the Carter years.

I also think that many of the Obama administration’s failures are going to be blamed on Bush for years to come and we’ll hear that Obama needs to be given more time to undo the damage of the Bush years. I think that many people will lap it up because America’s commies have been so successful at demonizing capitalism and the MSM is on their side.

Also, this time around Republicans have lost a lot of credibility with their fiscal irresponsibility during their time as the majority which will make it harder for their base to get excited. Whatever the leadership says will be viewed with skepticism. Democrats will even be able to point to Bush as a new believer in their fiscal policies with the stupid stimulus plan and string of bailouts.

I think that what you say could happen but it’ll take a lot of hard work with new faces and voices in the GOP to educate people and get them excited and willing to trust Republicans at the helm again.

Here’s to hoping that you’re right and I’m wrong tho. :)
