Everyone’s different, I guess. I checked my girls every night before I went to bed and gave them a soft, quiet kiss as they were sleeping.
Yes, everyone’s different. Trying to get into my kids’ rooms at night is life-threatening: they’re all slobs.
i am sorry that you and your parents had to suffer such a loss.
Even at 16. Except on school nights when they have to go to bed early, I’m usually asleep before my kids. My kids are 14 and 12.
My daughter is on seizure medication, and I don’t even check on her. I’d have to turn on the light to make sure she is breathing, and I don’t want to disturb her. I did have a baby monitor in her room for about 9 months after her grand mal, but I wasn’t getting any sleep. I had to have it turned up pretty loud, so I could hear her breathing. The only thing is I heard her turning over at night etc. I would wake up at every little sound. After 9 months, I needed some sleep.
They are against psychotic drugs like Ritalin.
Jett was supposedly on Depakote. It wasn’t controlling the seizures and he was getting liver damage, so they took him off of it. I don’t know if they had tried other medications or the keto diet. They seem like the type that would try the keto diet because scientologist tend to be against so many meds.
The disease he had was when he was little, but maybe he had a high fever that brought on seizures or some other strange side effect.
Plus, seizures can happen to people that have never been sick.
