One of my daughter’s many dogs has bad hips and cannot stand or walk. They built it a cart that straps on under the dog’s back legs. The dog can then pull itself with it’s front legs and it goes all over with the cart. The only problem is that the dog is too big for my daughter to put into the cart without help. You wouldn’t have that problem with a yorkie.
Great story!
Murphys Laws are observations about life that seem to have the weight of experience behind them. Youve probably heard this one: If anything can go wrong, it will. Heres another one: You cant do just one thing; everything has its consequences.
My own experience seems to confirm many of Murphys Laws, but its that second one that I would hang on the wall as a motto. Wrong choices have their consequences. For example, if we choose to live for pleasure, that will affect our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren (Ex. 20:4-5). If we walk away from God, we may discover that our children have taken that trip with us. Later, even if we return to Him, they may not.
But there is also good news. Devotion to the Lord has its consequences too. Men and women who live in faith before God can have a strong influence on their children and their childrens children. If they live a long life, they can witness the effect their faith has had on several generations. What satisfaction it brings to older people to see their posterity living for Christ!
Murphy and the Bible agree on this point: Everything has its consequences.
The allergies can make you miserable. Thank goodness you didn’t get an infection from this. You are taking good care of yourself. I heard there is a certain tree in Texas that once a year causes severe allergies. Is this part of it?
Don’t recall ever seeing this many deer. I think the cold is bringing them out. It’s fun to see them. After seeing them jump and run I understand fully the idea of Reindeer. :)
Good Morning The Mayor :)
Great reminder the effect of Murphy’s Law. Enjoyed, as always, reading today’s Daily Bread.
How’s the weather up your way. I bet you have snow, snow and more snow.
Morning all, finally feeling a bit better. Apartment still cold, (bedroom at 50) and boiler still not working right. Will be staying at motel tonight and sending landlady the bill until the boiler is working right. I’m 62 and not up for this sort of stupidity!
Now for poetry rather then venting.
The reeds whisper soft
in the wind of ages past
in a Zen garden

Their songs my reward for seeds to share

Mountain cedar...there are others that cause me problems..We are very dry and have had high winds ..all contributing to this..I usually can keep it from making me so congested and feeling so rotten by using antihistimines and decongestants.
It’s dropped 4 degrees since I started posting! 24 is about as cold as it has gotten here this year.
OH Yorkie!!! I am so so sorry about your furry friend. It is so hard when our beloved pets begin to wear down. They are truly a part of us. We have a teacup poodle that is about the same age as your Yorkie. She has a enlarged heart, and has started wheezing almost constantly from fluid build up.We know each day is a gift when we have her with us.... I am praying for you today. I would try the splints.
LOLOLOL!!!!! Too funny Billie!
Thank you Mayor, and Good Morning!
It will hit the 60s during the day by Saturday but be cold at night..There is more ice on the roof and on leaves than I thought..My trellis looks like it has fringe with the icicles.
I just threw a handfull of peanuts out for the squirrels..The birdfeeder is popular with the birds..I have had a Carolina wren recently..but do not see it today.
PS
I’d declare a snow day for Booboo, too.
Good idea, I need to put peanuts out. It's a busy day at the feeder here also. Think I'll shovel a path and throw down seed too.
The icicles must look so pretty on your trellis.
We have had a lot of snow this year, 18” above normal. Also the 18th coldest in history. It is snowing right now and expect 6 to 8” total.
The boiler is her responsibility. You have that Right to do that.
Your welcome and Good Morning to you too.
