####

Yep.,

Windows 7 will be new eye candy and
the current color of lipstick on Windows NT

“The next OS will be XP “Classic”

No, from the documentation it will be a Vista Classic in look and flavor with an xp type of funcionality. They are keeping most of how Vista looked and worked.

Supposedly much better recognition of devices and drivers. Elements of explorer will be a blend of xp and vista in functionality.

At least what I read.

“I don’t care if MS supports it or not. I’ll still use it”

Nor MS is until at least sometime in 2013. Still allowing new installs on OEM systems until June 2009 as of a news release in the last couple of days.

You can get the OEM versions at Newegg.com. Decent prices.

I was thinking something more like the “Classic Coke” switcheroo.

MS is actually hoping it will work out more like a Rum and Cherry Coke and everyone will forget there was even a Vista at all.

Windows XP Professional is the best OS Microsoft has ever made. I intend on sticking with it until Windows 7 come out. There’s no way I’m upgrading to Vista.

Had Vista, it sucks! I made told Dell, sending them all back and did. Then they agreed to give me XP on all of them. Using it until it isn’t humanly possible. Gates needs to suckit up and admit Vista is a lemon.
