“Most Policemen I know dread having to respond to a domestic dispute call.
Typically, the wife defends the abusive spouse and the Policeman usually ends up dead.”
I don’t think typically is the right word here. If this were true, then thousands of cops would die each year in domestic abuse calls. Yes, the cops I know don’t like domestic abuse calls, but usually what they do here is just arrest both parties. They don’t try and work things out, figure out who was right or wrong. it’s much safer to just slap the braclets on each party and let the courts figure it out.

The Dad was ordered to leave and was doing so. Grandpa was not defending himself or his property, unless you consider the Dad's children to be property of the Grandpa.
Geez. For all we know he's a senile old man that is being duped by a bitter vindictive granddaughter into denying this Dad his children.
Very interesting. By following the links provided, it’s clear the Dad is/was a loving father with a vested interest in his children.
Well Grandpa did follow him and shot him, I call that following him around.
and Grandpa has no rights to keep this man’s children, if there is no custody agreement. If there was one, then it’s as you say.
I know it could be this man was an abuser. Or it could be his (ex) wife was one and kept or hid his children from him.
My ex didn’t get our kids, but he told EVERYONE he saw or met wild, untrue stories about me.

Two dead in Conroe shootings
By Elliott Cochran
Updated: 12.20.08
Separate shooting incidents in Conroe less than six hours apart left two men dead and two others facing capital murder charges as a result of one of the shootings.
A domestic disturbance ended in death around 7:30 p.m. Friday at 28 Silver Creek Drive after an argument and physical altercation between a grandfather and his granddaughters estranged husband ultimately resulted in the shooting of Brice Wade Boudreaux, 32, according to Conroe police officials.
The second shooting occurred around 1:15 a.m. Saturday when a friendly conversation concerning the sale of an automobile allegedly segued into a robbery and the fatal shooting of an unarmed passenger in a moving vehicle, police said.
Luis Enrique Rivera, 29, and Luis Antonio Menendez, 19, were later taken into custody without incident and have been charged with capital murder.
The shooting of Boudreaux was reportedly triggered when he visited the home of Jessee Berwick, 80, where the victims wife and two children lived for the past five months. According to a Conroe Police press release, Boudreaux was at the residence to take custody of his two children.
According to the police report, Berwick ordered Boudreaux to leave his residence and Boudreaux responded by twice pushing Berwick. Berwick reportedly retrieved a revolver from another room in the home.
The police report stated that Berwick and Boudreaux exited the residence and Berwick again instructed Boudreaux to leave. Boudreaux then struck Berwick a third time, reportedly where Berwick had recently had a pacemaker for his heart placed.
Berwick then allegedly shot Boudreaux in the torso.
A neighbor who wished to remain anonymous said Boudreaux and his wife were in the midst of a divorce which had escalated into a hostile process. The neighbor said Berwick was generally mild-mannered, but there was a great deal of animosity between him and Boudreaux.
Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 Trey Spikes pronounced Boudreaux dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy.
An investigation by the Conroe Police Department is ongoing and no arrests had been made as of Saturday afternoon.

The operative terms. We sit here reading the cowplops of modern journalism, we're lucky if the information is adequate never mind accurate, and then we pass our judgments which are formed mostly of our own preconceived opinions.
Personally, I say Gramps dispatched a sidewinder, and for the kids' sake should've just hobbled him.
Here’s her’s.

Her friend Amber laughs about how both of them are going through a “Nasty Divorce”.
No soon-to-be about it! He's an ex-parrot!
Yeah, the multiple gunshots to the torso would reflect the mindset of the shooter.
Friend/family of Brice, Tiffany tells her “I hope it hurts when you breathe”.
There is a whole lot more to this story.
If anyone comes on my property uninvited, and strikes me anywhere, they are dead. I don’t care if they came after the daughter’s children,or to go birdwatching. I am a lifelong resident of central Texas, and most folks here take thier security on thier own private property very seriously. Those that go on another’s property are expected to respect that person after they are there. In a child custody case such as this was, the father should have got the sheriff dept. to go with him if he was rightfully going after his children. If he was wrongfully attempting to take those kids, he got what he had coming,IMHO
Where are you getting that info? This article states he shot him once.
Oh, I should have looked at your name. I remember you now. You're making it up again. Nevermind.
Her webpage was a visual nightmare.
I know I’ll probably get burned for saying this, but did anyone notice that a man, in the process of a divorce, was killed for trying to see or take HIS OWN KIDS?
This article states he shot him once.
Curious, where are you getting that info of ‘one shot’? What I read is he shot in in the torso but doesn’t state if it was one shot or multiple.
was killed for trying to see or take HIS OWN KIDS?
That’s a part of the story we don’t know with the info we have. It is very possible that going through a divorce he had visitation rights and was there to pick up the children for that purpose. After all it occurred at 7:20 pm on a Friday night according to that article info which could be in line with a weekend visitation.
At this stage we just don’t know the entire facts......
The multiple gunshots report is from another article.
