When I was in college people were screaming about a new ICE AGE. I remember the cover of timemagrag announcing it.
Ain't that the truth.
Climate change is real and will occur no matter what we do, just as it has for eons. It’s arrogant to think we’re capable of affecting it for good or ill.
I may eventually wind up in Australia. Seems to be one of the few 1st world countries where there’s still a shred of general common sense.
Even though this has been thoroughly debunked, and the stats have even been changed by NASA....it's amazing to me how the Big Lie continues to fool even the skeptics.

Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
There was a great thread here on FR regarding this (and similar) articles.
The ‘experts’ were discussing spreading ash/soot over the pole to absorb heat from the sun, and other ‘fixes.’
Isn’t it great how far science has come?!
Now all we need to fix it is money!

Climate Bailout!
As they review the bizarre and unpredictable weather pattern of the past several years, a growing number of scientists are beginning to suspect that many seemingly contradictory meteorological fluctuations are actually part of a global climatic upheaval. However widely the weather varies from place to place and time to time, when meteorologists take an average of temperatures around the globe they find that the atmosphere has been growing gradually cooler for the past three decades. The trend shows no indication of reversing. Climatological Cassandras are becoming increasingly apprehensive, for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of another ice age. Telltale signs are everywhere —from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest.Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F. Although that figure is at best an estimate, it is supported by other convincing data. When Climatologist George J. Kukla of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory and his wife Helena analyzed satellite weather data for the Northern Hemisphere, they found that the area of the ice and snow cover had suddenly increased by 12% in 1971 and the increase has persisted ever since. Areas of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, for example, were once totally free of any snow in summer; now they are covered year round. Scientists have found other indications of global cooling.
Its the infamous Chicken Little effect. Its not science its a fad and one used to get power and money from the sheeple.
Time.com has an archive of all of their covers. This one has a picture of Nixon. Sure you have that date right? A MSM "Ice Age" image would be essential.
Please notice that everything on the list has happened, to some degree or another, before.

Are you saying the “Big Lie” is that “1998 was the hottest year ever” (No, 1934 was); or that the Medieval Warming Period did not happen - that temperatures the past 1000 years were as flat as Mann-Gore’s “hockey stick” pretended them to be?
