You will probably receive it soon. I am sure it is not a high demand movie. Too bad, it is excellent. Let me know what you thought if you have time.

My review of Sophie Scholl. I received it from Netflix about two weeks ago but had to wait for the usual marathon of Christmas movie watching to be done with for another year. I saw it last night, and like every one else that has seen it, I was captivated. And afterward it left you thinking about the movie, which good movies should do. Normally a movie that involves mostly police interrogations or courtroom drama would bore me to tears, especially if in another language. Not this one. I was hooked and will see it again this weekend with a war historian friend of mine. I will also recommend it to Christian family and friends, since the movie did show Sophie's strong Christian convictions. Something an American film company would of stayed clear of.
Thanks again for the recommendation.

Odd that you mention this, I kept thinking about Fairness Doctrine while watching this movie. I also thought about the stunt that Messiah pulled on Missouri about the press there.
But, it is still a far cry from what happened to Sophie Scholl

I thank you for posting your review of this wonderful & timely movie. I am not sure if anyone mentioned that there was another movie made in Germany called “The White Rose” also excellent. There are many books about them. I am presently finishing a painting in homage to them. www.maureenthompson.com

Beautiful paintings! Yes, it was a movie far beyond anything Hollywood produces.

I saw the movie a few months ago, and I thought it was excellent. Very compelling, heartbreaking story.

Thank you, still trying to decide what to write on the leaflets.
They wrote on one leaflet from Goethe:
Now I find my good men
Are gathered in the night,
To wait in silence, not to sleep.
and the glorious word of Liberty
They whisper and murmur,
Till in unaccustomed strangeness,
On the steps of our temple
Once again in delight they cry:
Freedom! Freedom!
