whoa..this IS getting interesting.
I am not buying the “I shot myself accidentally in the leg...”
HUGE party school? Low standards? Maybe some of our Michigan/Ohio St. (lol) fans can explain.
Oh man, I am such bad luck. I have him on my FF team, I had Tom Brady, and the Detroit QB at the start of the season too, Willie Parker (now back, mostly). I think I’m just going to release all my players and drop out of the league...
Great player, but yeah - a nutcase. Hard to believe Manning had to deal with both Shockey AND Plax.
LOL...In that case, Plax buryed a BB into his leg.
Maybe because he is a spoiled brat.
You know: Athlete coddled his entire career from high school to the Pros.
Coaches making excuses for his bad behavior, never having to have any serious consequences so they can win.
If I was head coach he would be picking wood out of his ass the rest of the season
Come to think of it, yes, Plaxico Pavarotti!
You coulda been a contendah.
Nah. They won it without Shockey, and if necessary they'll win it without Burress. They don't need headcases, no matter how talented, to win Super Bowls. All they need is a great coaching staff, best offensive line in the NFL, Earth (Jacobs) Wind (Ward) and Fire (Bradshaw), Eli Manning, and solid D. ...all of which they have.
As for the headcase Burress, I doubt we'll be finding out out what really happened in this instance. Was it intentional? Was he drunk and sloppy with his gun? Could be anything with this guy.
Throw the ball to ME!
Giants -3 1/2
Where you been hiding?
Coulda been worse - he could have been named 'La Shay-Nah-Plaxico Mouthwash.'
There were three of them, Plaxico Pavarotti, Fats Domingo, and the Other Guy!
‘Coach, I have good news and bad news.. the good news is my hammy feels better....’
At least the idiot shot himself.
The big guy can’t handle fame just like many H’weirdos.
It’s ok, he won’t be playing in the ‘Skins game ;)
Seriously, so many of these young professional athletes are very troubled in their personal lives. Guess becoming a multi millionaire at 21 doesn’t really help. Without a family infrastructure they are royally screwed. The difference in family structure is remarkable. My friend’s neighbor is a pro basketball superstart, but when he’s home his dad makes him cut the grass. I think that is fabulous ... keeps the ‘superstar’ grounded.
Maybe their agents who so assiduously work to get the mega-$ in the contract could also put in a clause, especially for those athletes who don’t have strong families, about the athletes working with counsellors on the sudden and dramatic changes to their lives, so they can make the transition without so many ‘issues.’
