Did a search to find out about this, having no idea who Anne Pressly was as the name didn’t ring a bell. Turns out she is the TV reporter killed in Little Rock.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED! I tell you!
My theory- he was burglarizing the place and she woke up and started to scream and he just beat her to death. He got caught because of either fingerprints, DNA (why it took so long) or he bragged about it to someone who turned him in.
She had two Cocker Spaniels, somehow they got put outside, (they were found wandering by a neighbor) which makes me think he accosted her when she got home that evening, otherwise the dogs would have barked and woke her up as soon as he tried to get in the house. Trust me, I have three cockers, and NO ONE would get in this house without them alerting to that fact... also her front door was locked and her back door was open. If he accosted her in the carport, then he would have forced his way in the house with her and her key and likely left by the back door in a hurry.
But she was found in bed, beaten. Was there a sexual assault? Was she wearing a nightgown or pajamas? I believe there was an empty house behind hers and another house next door being renovated or constructed. Could this moron be nothing more than a copper thief who broke into the wrong house? He hears the dogs barking in her bedroom,goes in, she screams,he panics and beats her to death and runs out the back door leaving it open- dogs run outside.
Okay, but how did he get in the house? She had a doggie door. Did he crawl through the door? He was a pretty big guy, someone his size would play heck climbing through my dog doors.
