Give me a break. The Watchman.com Web site says: "As a young boy he [Roy Masters] became interested in hypnotism. He added to his hypnotism techniques after studying African witchdoctor rites during his apprenticeship at South African diamond mines when he was 18."
Here you have someone who has "mastered" hypnosis prompted by an African witchdoctor and your claim is that it's not his radio listeners who are brainwashed, but the "masses that surround us."
You might want to type in my name in the religion section and review my posts. In fact I think you had better.
***Ive been listening to Roy for over a year now.. Hes Spot On in so many ways.****
I used to listen years ago in the early 1980’s ( How Your mind can keep you well). The more I listened the more I realized he was a loon.
Does he still hypnotize people and change their shoes by puting their right show on the left foot just for laughs?
I don't know who this watchman group is and who died and made them an authority on what is or isn't a cult, half of the stuff you posted from them is distorted and untrue, so it seems you're just buying into the smear of a good man using the same tactics that the Marxists use to smear all conservatives and Christians.
Roy Masters is not hidden, he has a national radio show on over 100 stations, he's live on the Internet and XM, he opens up his home to these Sunday conversations live and on the Internet for all the world to see that they may JUDGE FOR THEMSELVES, in other words he has nothing to hide, so why are you trying to smear him?
Roy Masters espouses certain principles for dealing with evil in ourselves and our enemies, do you have better ones to espouse that we may utilize? If you can’t see that dire times are headed our way, then you won’t see anything Masters says of value.
***He doesn’t own a commune in Oregon, never did, ****
Strange.. many years ago, before Internet, one of the national News programs (60 Minutes or 20/20) had an interview with him ON HIS OREGON COMMUNE. I saw the program and recognized his voice from when I listened to him on the radio. They were giving a cow an inocilation in the hip at the time.
My reference wasn't to you personally. (I was talking about Masters. Don't get all huffy & puffy)
Iwill get all huffy and puffy if you imply I am in anyway against Jesus Christ.
You must be talking about Bhagwan Rajneesh who had a commune in Central Oregon back during that time and whose followers eventually took over some town. That was not Roy Masters.
...And I didn't know that you died and became an authority, either (using your own weak standard).
...half of the stuff you posted from them is distorted and untrue...
You're so funny. In post #26 you are quick on the standard of needing "proof" and then you think you can just post that something is "distorted" and yet not offer proof. (Hey, if you're going to use standards to apply to others, may I suggest you start by applying them to yourself!)
...using the same tactics that the Marxists use to smear all conservatives and Christians.
OK this makes you 2-for-2 in using a smear "Marxist" (see post #26). (So I guess, again using your-own-standard-that-you-can't-even-personally-adhere-to, you go around accusing others of engaging in "Marxist tactics" -- which is a smear tactic in and of itself. Debater, you have refuted thyself).
...JUDGE FOR THEMSELVES...
Listen, nobody on radio advocates what they believe on some of the most important theological beliefs on each and every broadcast. It's usually tucked away. Until the Internet came along, some of the most offensive things you'd find in Masonry couldn't be readily uncovered until you were nth number of degrees into being one.
That’s why we have the bible, like good Bereans we can search the scriptures to see whether or not the things men say are true.
OK, whatistruth advocates that people listen to Masters for themselves. I agree. But be selective on WHAT you listen to Masters about. Here go to this interview between Masters and Walter Martin: http://www.fhu.com/player/roy-masters-debates-walter-martin-highspeed.html
And above, whatistruth says that Masters espouses certain principles for dealing with evil in ourselves and yet on this Masters-Martin interview, Masters claims that saved Christians no longer sin. (So how can they "deal with evil in ourselves" if Masters doesn't even acknowledge the evil of remant sin in Christians?)
You must be talking about Bhagwan Rajneesh who had a commune in Central Oregon back during that time and whose followers eventually took over some town. That was not Roy Masters.
Nope. It was Roy Masters. B Rajneesh had his own commune and lots of Rolls Royces.
***I don’t know who this watchman group is and who died and made them an authority on what is or isn’t a cult,***
When the Applewhite group committed group suicide in South California all the major news media got interviews with the Watchman group since they keep up with most of the cults. Did you miss it?
Roy Masters offer us tools in the battle against the tactics of Marxism, what does your watchman group offer? I trust people to judge for themselves from the horses' mouth if Roy makes sense and not listen to some third party like you and your obscure group who don't have a clue but for some reason feel threatened by this man.
I've been to Masters' ranch' in Oregon back during that time, and it was not a commune.
Well God is Truth and His revelation to mankind, the bible, is Truth. Truth is not subjective. That being said, it’s still a free country and we will all keep it that way, with God’s help
This is not a biblical view, it’s a man’s view. Theology vs philosophy
