New numbers are out. He’s got it at Obama 50.1% and McCain 43.1%.
I’m quite surprised he didn’t give Obama a huge bump from the infomercial. Wonders never cease, I suppose.
Whoever said +7 wins tonight’s contest. It came out 50.1-43.1 Obama. Good job. Try again tomorrow.
So add that 6.8% undecided to McCain and it’s 50.1-49.9. That’s probably where it really is.
These polls are almost cartoonish.
Where did you see that? I saw Luntz and his focus group before the coronation speach, but tuned out the TV for the rest of the night.
Is Zogby really even relevant?
However, this year the all-brains-and-no-heart Tin Man (John Kerry) leads by a commanding ten points.
If we look at the three last Presidential elections, the spread was 34 percent Democrats, 34 percent Republicans and 33 percent Independents (in 1992 with Ross Perot in the race); 39 percent Democrats, 34 percent Republicans, and 27 percent Independents in 1996; and 39 percent Democrats, 35 percent Republicans and 26 percent Independents in 2000.
We are independent and nonpartisan, Zogby explains. I am personally a Democrat, but the firm does a lot of work for media (like Reuters America, New York Post, St. Louis Post Dispatch, etc.) and we work for both parties.
While I do have some disagreements with some of my colleagues about the over-sampling of Democrats (simply because they are more likely to respond to polls than Republicans) this is a sampling issue and not the result of any built in bias or prejudice.

Thats me! I win! I win!
It’ll likely get worse. Give McCain a 4 point handicap this weekend due to Halloween. Don’t commit suicide.
Notice the shift to Kerry over Halloween — Bush touches the 50 mark over the weekend, but then ties with Kerry in the last few days.

Well, at least he was half-honest. I meant being honest about being a Dem.
