As the pumas have mentioned, their party has been hijacked. I have been a republican my whole life. I cast my first vote 28 years ago for, as far as I am concerned, Our Greatest President. But the dem party of today is definately not the dem party my semi-conservative union parents voted for. They would be shocked.
Yup, he is part of that list of chosen associates, carefully chosen associations.

This is why I’m so protective of the PUMA’s and the comments made about them here on Freerepublic.
I have PUMA’s in my family. They didn’t know they were PUMA’s until I gave them the definition. I gave them a PUMA site to visit so they can feel at home with others like them. I gave them FREEREPUBLIC site so they can see where I’m coming from.
It just pi$$es me off when FREEPERS badmouth them. We shouldn’t be scaring them away. Blood is thicker than politics and when you dis the PUMA’S reading here...it may be my family member that has to read it...and I won’t take kindly.
Even if one regards McCain as a Democrat, one should recognize that the Democratic Party has two distinct factions. One party wants to extract as much gold from the goose as possible, but recognizes the need to keep it alive. The other is more interested in killing the goose than in collecting gold.
I do not like either wing of the Democratic Party, but now is not the time to battle with the PUMA wing. If the PUMA wing wins, there will still be a country in 2010 and 2012. If the "All your base are belong to us" (i.e. the Zero Wing) wins, there will soon be a third-world country in charge of an enormous nuclear arsenal.
