In college we did one of those dumb college things and got a couple of pet rats. After a while we realized it was stupid and decided we needed to get rid of them. Well, we had a friend with a huge pet snake (python or boa but it’s been so long I forget which) and we told him he could have them. When it came time to feed his snake he asked for the rats and we gave him the rats.
When they were put in the aquarium the snake didn’t do a thing. The rats, however, went on the offensive. We had to take the cheap rats out before they really hurt the very expensive snake.

Wow, helluva mouse. Of course, the snake was only 12 inches long. Was it a shrew mouse? They take no poop from anything, and run like they’re guzzlin’ coffee...
I do wonder why anyone would let such a thing (throwing a live prey animal into a cage with a predator) go on for 30 minutes, and take pictures. Wasn’t there a cockfighting pit they could visit?

That mouse ought to have a sit-down talk with McCain. Teach him a few things.

A real snake owner “thumps” the rats first.
Duh.

Hah! That’s a tough little mouse.
Those Tai fifefighters have a strange way of entertaining themselves keeping poisonous snakes around. :)

This is why our snake gets pre-toasted mice. Kinda gross thawing them out but I don’t want my snakes arse kicked either.
